Never...

Well we experienced this at WL this past Dec. and it was 11pm. we had to call down to the front desk twice before they sent someone out. We weren't even asking them to kick them out of the pool but to just keep the screaming and yelling down. Funny thing is, when we posted this on the forum before, at least two people responded that we were ruining someone elses vacation by calling for security. Are you kidding me? Our Sept. trip we booked woods view.

Woods View is awesome! I prefer that. I never considered it until they gave me a free upgrade and a PERFECT direct view of Cinderella castle. It was silent and beautiful! You'll love it!

I did not think the kids should not be allowed to swim, I just felt at 11pm-12am they could show some respect for other people who are trying to sleep, I understand they are on vacation, but riddle me this batman if your neighbors screamed all night well into the wee hours because they worked evenings and were on a different schedule then you , would that make it ok ? Or would you complain because you had to work in the morning, being on vaction does not justify being rude and it does not excuse the behavior. Screaming and Yelling at midnight is not ok anywhere, not at Disney and not at home, everyone is on vacation and the people sleeping in their rooms should be entitled to sleep at midnight and expect quiet that is not an unreasonable request, screaming at noon is alot different then screaming at midnight :scared1:

I am editing this to say this is JMO I am not looking to argue with anyone, I am just stating my thoughts, and to the poster who said to just change rooms, I tried that everyday for 5 days and got the same answer there are no other rooms available , everything is already assigned.

Homedics are good, Marpacs are better

If people realized how well these worked, I think every hotel would hand them out at check in. We don't travel without one and we never lose any sleep, in the early mornings or late nights.

Thanks for the advice. I found a reasonably priced Homedic at Walmart. I'm getting one tomorrow!

Does anyone have any experience with the preferred rooms at All Star Movies as far as noise after 12am?

This isn't like they're yelling at each other in some threatening way I presume? They are screaming, yelling and laughing and being loud? It's not an unreasonable request I suppose to ask for quiet, but its not unreasonable to deny it either, why should someone conform to your sleep schedule? You're asking them to do what you wont, conform to another's schedule. I think honestly, if you're a light sleeper and its going to make you really mad (I wake up when the cat moves around the room sometimes, I'm used to it), the answer is a vacation home because Disney is loud, and 10 - 12 is not that late for a lot of people. Thats about when everyone is back from the park and some are going to want to use the pool. You will find many people like that at a resort with 2000 people at it, even if its only 10 percent of all of them.

It's really poor customer service of Disney to refuse to move you, I would have found that unbelievable if I were you and probably gone higher and higher until someone was able to help. There must have been a single room somewhere at some point for you elsewhere. I'm sorry they couldn't move you and it ruined a portion of your vacation :(.

I agree with you. We're from the west coast and we usually go to bed about 10PM on the weekends but when we're on vacation, by all means, my son will NOT be in that pool at 11PM-midnight. #1 - we're early risers and I'm going to want to get to the parks early and #2 - I have respect for my fellow guests and do not want to keep them awake because my son screaming or anything like that - I wouldn't want it done to me either.

I realize that it's an expensive and wonderful vacation for all of us - but just have the respect of fellow guests trying to sleep - because I'm sure most of us go to bed between 9PM and midnight. It's okay to for your kids to be in the pool, but just tell them to keep it down a tad and not to scream or yell at the top of their lungs. They can still have fun just be respectful of everyone, watch your kids and although we're on vacation, we're all still parents and our kids still need to know right from wrong.
