The courier that is. I sent a client a power cable for a Wii U (games console) and the proof of delivery was a photo of it... in a bin... with cigarette ends.

NOT a happy camper.

Totally get it, but... Technically safer from porch pirates, & the contents aren't harmed in any way.

I feel for my customer, I really do - it's not their fault they never got their goods! If only the courier had tried the next day rather than fly tipping it!

I'm confused too. Did they NOT receive the package? The picture looks like what the carrier sends as proof of delivery.

Since most of aren't in the U.K., it isn't likely to be an issue.

The customer never received the package. Apparently the bin men came and decided to empty it. Or a passer by decided to lift it. I dunno. It most CERTAINLY wasn't "mailed through post box". I dunno about you, but I'd rather not have my kit dumped in a trash can full of cigarette butts. Instead, the courier SHOULD slip a note through the door saying the parcel is being cared for at the local post office branch as per their website.

Yes, of course that's what they SHOULD have done.

Unfortunately if that delivery company is that bad they are going to try to say the photo is proof of delivery. In which case I agree evri is a horrible company.

Here I thought it being stolen was the last thing that would happen being in that bucket, but is that "bin" not on the customers porch?

Actually you should be able to fight that, they threw your package in the trash, so it never made it to the customer, & the image is the proof.

Thing is, I KNEW Evri were terrible by reputation. Almost as bad as Yodel. But the selling site I used to promote my product insisted I use a certain courier (in this case Evri) so they could a) keep costs low and b) track the parcel. It kinda makes sense but has now proven to be problematic.
