Never thought I'd ever say this

Just left Disney World after staying a week at Port Orleans-Riverside.
I can't believe i'm saying this, but I don't think I will be going back. Unless of course the family pressures me to go.

I have been there about 20 times since I was 7. Even went there on my Honeymoon.

I wanted to take the kids to see how they Decorate for Christmas. Boy was I disappointed.

I also was disappointed in the rooms. Although it wasn't bad enough to complain about, the room looked like it needed a refurb. Bad caulking in the bathtub. Black moldy/mildew spots in the corner because of the bad caulk job.

Don't get me wrong, we still had a good time. It just wasn't what I was expecting. Last time I was there, was Jan of '07. I didn't have this feeling when I left then.

And the food. They have to do something to change things up a bit.

I'm not the type of person who wants to sit down at a table service place for every meal. ALL the counter service was the same.

Maybe time will change my opinion. Let's hope so. It's hard to be a Disney fanatic, and not want to go to Disney World ever again. :confused3

Merry Christmas to you. And, I hope you have a great Sunday.

We just got back too and I feel exactly like you! I have been going since 74 and this was the worst trip I have ever had.

We just got back and also had a complete lack of Magic. We went 3 years ago and had so much fun I couldnt wait to get back! Now I dont have any desire to go again. It was nothing big, just lots of little things added up to more annoyance than anything. Spending an hour and a half in line to check in. Waiting 45-1 hour for every bus (with small kids) and standing for every ride, rooms that were not filthy per say but needed a good dusting and floor wash. Housekeeping failing to leave coffee condiment 4 out of our 6 days (though I called for them each time and we used them all). Staff that was indifferant at best and several times down right rude. restaurants running half an hour or more behind on reservation times. Spending 40 minutes in fast pass lines.

Our kids had fun, but for me it was a huge drag. I was so looking forward to flawless friendly service and was very dissappointed. Glad to know I am not the only one! And the Holiday decor was weak. I was expecting to be overwhelmed with holiday spirit. Not so much. Though the osborne lights were very cool.

I'm glad to see it wasn't just me.

Not just you. We see it too, we love disney, and will return, but we won't renew our AP. Maybe a season pass or something.

We definitely don't spend the money we used to in wdw. We used to go eat there for no reason, buy stuff just because it was cool, buy a lot of pins. Not anymore-why waste the money there-things aren't getting any better and prices keep going up up up.

We were very disappointed by the Christmas decorations. (this was our first time seeing them)
