Never stayed onsite , where to begin ???

Can someone please advise me how to get the best prices for an onsite stay at USO? we are doing 10 days at WDW this April and are thinking of switching the last 2-4 to Universal. We do have AAA. Any suggestions? TIA

1) Read sticky about FAQ at top of Universal Parks board
2) If you don't have an annual pass to Universal, use you AAA...for booking your room, when you eat and when you shop....discounts ALL OVER the place!
3) Usually Royal Pacific is the cheapest of the 3 with the "middle" distance to walk (about 7 min). Hard Rock is a little more money, but closest to US and Portofino Bay is furthest and usually most expensive (but, biggest rooms).
4)Check Universal home page for tickets and packages....($85/7 day ticket per person right now)
