Hi, I'm planning my 6th visit to the world, but this will be my first time staying at a resort, how far in advance should I book my room and what about deposits and so forth? I want to stay at a value resort and i just wanted to know what those are like, just some general info and advice if anyone could give me a heads up it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Ash

Value resorts run 55 to 109 per night depending on time of year. I would go ahead and book now if you are going within the year. You have to put down the first nights deposit with a credit card or mail a check or money order within ten days. I recommend paying off accomodations before arrival. They normally put out codes for discounts. With all the ticket changes who knows what will happen. Keep an eye out at mousesavers.com on a daily bases. Codes sell out very quickly. If you already have a ressie they just modify the reservation. Anything that is left will be a room credit or you can get cash at check in.

Hey, I only have a little over 2 months before my trip, can I even still get a room? I checked on disneyworld.com and it said that my room would be $123.18/per night so is that normal?

Hey, can't change it unless I changed it to summer which I definately don't want to do. I decided to go back to college and finish my degree so spring break is that week. i know that back when i was in school i went during our spring break (a week later than it is this year) and the crowds weren't too bad and the weather was nice. Last year I went the first week in March and it was about the same. But i guess staying at a resort is a whole new ballgame. I'll check out pop century...

ok that is going to save me about $12 for the week... that's a burger at cosmic rays...hehe

fall break at my school is just 2 days so that wouldn't work. besides i can't wait that long!

Just my 2 cents, You can get deals on rooms, do you have AAA? Look for the codes on Mousesavers.com. Also just ask are there any discounts when you call central reservations. It doen't hurt to ask. Make your reservation, you can always modify it. Check out the moderates with discount codes. You will love staying on site. The busses are fab.

I agree wholeheartedly about the codes. They can save you a bundle. We stayed at the WL in October with a code rate of ~$169 a night. I had already booked that room without a code for  $$299 a night. Split the stay with the Polynesian, code rate for it was only ~$229 a night. Codes can save you a bundle. I knocked about $150 a night off the rack rate for WL for this April with the code. Also, if anyone going with you has an annual pass they can also get the passholders discount.

I think I have AAA I think it came with my volkswagen but I've never used it. I'll definately check out mousesavers, that sounds awesome!
