NEVER SELLING BECAUSE I LOVE MY HOME RESORT

Some people prefer to control the reservation, which you can't do by renting through another owner. And the cost to rent is higher than what the cost per point it on the original purchase. Renting would kind of kill the entire premise of why I bought into DVC. If I was getting to the point of feeling like I was somewhat ready to "get out" I could see it.

To each his own, though.

Then I get a point transfer and problem solved.

The original question I had related to who were the most passionate home resort owners who primarily had such an emotionally strong attachment (hence love) thAt they wouldn't sell.

1. VGF
2. VGF

Because that's all we own and the only resort we want.

(Nevermind we've an OKW resale we bid on for staying-around points that we're waiting to see if it feeds ROFR the Pup. So, if that goes through, it would be the one we sell since the others are for The Only Real Disney Home For Us--VGF.)

We have 2 home resorts. My wife's favorite is Animal Kingdom, she is happiest early in the morning sitting on the balcony and watching the Savanna animals. I love BLT and the convenience of being able to walk to the Magic Kingdom. When I mentioned we are getting older and could make a nice piece of change if we sell our points, she said emphatically "No".

I don't see selling BLT - too convenient. I also don't see selling AKV - its my favorite for a resort day. That said, I might trade for a larger contract - is that allowed?

I bought BWV in 2003 and I would never sell it. My husband asked me in '09 if I wanted to sell BWV to buy the BLT I wanted and that was a big NO. We did buy BLT that year and I would sell that if I had to because I have less points there and I'm not attached to it like I am BWV.

BWV is our vacation home. My kids have gone there every year of their lives and we get still excited when we pull up the driveway and see the port cochere.
