I would actually sell if the right conditions came along and have a potential exit plan, however I wonder what the Dis thinks the most popular resorts people would say they would NEVER sell. Give your top 2.

I've owned at BWV since 2008 and would never sell because its location is ridiculously convenient. I can walk to two parks and take a monorail to a third (well, I can get pretty close to a third, anyway).

Of our 4 Resorts, BCV would definitely be the first we would sell.
I think we would sell our house before we sold our BWV points though

Never Beach club or VWL/BRV or BLT or VGF or HHI - probably never SSR either since it was resale so many years ago and grandfathered into everything..but have sold and will sell the rest of our OKW because I can’t do stairs anymore. If I was absolutely ‘desperate’, I’d sell my tiny contract at BWV…

I think if I had been able to get into Boardwalk or Beachclub 10+ years ago I would have a hard time ever selling. Maybe if they let the rooms just get really bad where I felt like I was paying DVC dues on moderate/value resort level room quality.

I don't see myself selling Riviera without very good reason. Only other one I might have trouble selling would be BLT... but that's probably a distant third behind the other two. I don't have much interest in Magic Kingdom right now, but that may change some day.

Any of the other resorts I think I could sell without much thought if I had a contract still at one of those other three.

I think VGC is hard to come by so I think those owners hold on to them a long time.

For me, we will hold on to RIV and never sell those.

But, I have bought and sold BWV, BLT, BRV, and VGF over the years to get where I am today so for me, it’s all about price and increasing my point total!!

I would never sell my VGC points. It is too hard to get into VGC (especially for studios) without the home resort priority.

I’m very disappointed with the new section of VGF. Our VGF would be the ones I would sell. Happily we also own BLT, so we still would have a MK resort.

Another : I think for those who bought direct or the last resales contract according "buy where you want to stay" do not envision selling.

For us, it’s RIV. We sold a poly contract that was a better “investment,” but we love RIV and that’s going to be our blue card membership for the rest of our days at WDW.

I’m very disappointed with the new section of VGF. Our VGF would be the ones I would sell.

I kinda wonder if something similar will happen to the Grand Cal after the new DVC@DLH opens? Hmmmmm ...

@808blessing, we only own at one DVC resort (SSR). I'll sell when the time is right ... I've been noodling the idea for a rather long while ... but I've just been too lucky with those Grand Cal reservations to give it up! LOL.

We will never sell our Beach Club. Number one, it is the only contract we own. Number two, by the time we would be ready to sell it (because of our anticipated age/lifestyle changes) the resort will be pretty close to expiration. Number three, we LOVE IT!

It’s not all about the $$. A lot of it is how much people love their resort and don’t want to part with it. I don’t care how high the BCV resale prices get, I’m not selling it.

I would not sell my BWV unless I was physically unable to go. Now my VGC expires the month of my 100th birthday. When I bought it 2 years ago, I promised my 2 friends one last party. 1 or 2 bedroom - we need room for scooters. ;-)

Some people prefer to control the reservation, which you can't do by renting through another owner. And the cost to rent is higher than what the cost per point it on the original purchase. Renting would kind of kill the entire premise of why I bought into DVC. If I was getting to the point of feeling like I was somewhat ready to "get out" I could see it.

To each his own, though.
