Hate to admit it, but, it's true. We've never seen a parade. I would like to do one this coming May. My DS3 will be old enough to really enjoy it. When he was smaller, he was afraid of some characters so I never wanted to attempt a parade. I have no idea how long you have to wait to get a spot to see the parade. We are doing MK and AK so we can see multiple parades, but, I don't want to wait around for hours to keep a spot. Could anyone make some recommendations? I know you can get fp's but unfortunately we can't do fp's at MK because my mother in law is hoping to go with us if she is feeling up to it (just finished chemo). She doesn't want to get here ticket until she's there so any MK fp's I get will be for rides that I know she'd never go on (roller coasters) so she won't feel left out. I can do fp's for AK though. My other question is: is there a good spot at each park to see the parade? TIA

There is no parade at AK.

There are two (major) parades at MK - the afternoon one and the night one. Depending on when you are going in May, you might want to plan on arriving about 30 minutes ahead of time to secure a spot. It is easiest to get a spot over in Frontierland, and harder to get one in Main Street or the hub.

The only park that has parades in MK. I like to watch them from frontierland.

A look at the MK Parade Route-

Disney's (MSEP) Electrical Parade starts near the Firehouse and exits near Splash Mtn.

The 3 O'Clock Parade (Festival of Fantasy) and both the MVMCP and MNSSHP parades start near Spalsh Mtn. and exit near the Firehouse.

Less crowded than on Main Street, but still spectacular viewing can be found near the Hall of Presidents,
or deep into Frontierland, past the Country Bears.
(But, from there you won't be able to see the new "show" that is actually projected on the front of the Castle,
"Celebrate the Magic," which begins about 15 minutes before the fireworks.)

Question... If we were to be arriving at the park 2pm-ish | Could we take the train around to frontierland and get a spot there without having to cut through shops and walk back to Hall of Presidents?

Any idea when train stops pre-parade?

1. Could we take the train around to frontierland and get a spot there without having to cut through shops and walk back to Hall of Presidents?

2. Any idea when train stops pre-parade?

1. At 2:00-2:30PM, yes.

2. Figure about 2:45, give or take.
The trains start up again about 3:15-ish.

Bummer I thought maybe there was one at AK! Is one parade better then the other at MK? Or is the same parade that they do twice a day? Is one of the parades less crowded? TIA

I miss the parade at AK. It was my favorite one. Is it ever coming back? Possibly after the construction?

Doubtful.
It was not ended because of construction.
