Lesson Learned: Never say never.

I have said (including here on the DIS) I have no interest in the Disney Wish for a cruise and that my days are over with the parks with all the changes, charges, and etc. Having said that, I did it. Double Wammy!:)

I booked the Wish on December 11th-15th yesterday, and this morning I just booked the Yacht Club for December 15th and check out the 17th. Now to cram, plan, and finally get a grasp on this pain in the backside, Genie+, Lighting Lane, park reservations, and etc.

Now to decide for that Friday do we do Epcot and see Neil Patrick Harris narrate the Candlelight Processional or go to the MK for the MVMCP? Saturday is going to be the Studios because I have yet to see any of the Star Wars experiences. Sunday will depend on Friday; We either hit the MK or spend the day at Epcot and then catch a late flight home that leaves MCO at 6:05 PM

I thought I was done with this madness and it's only 2 1/2 days in WDW. :rotfl2:

Wish is definitely one of those ships I feel like I need to mentally prepare for since it's very different from the rest of the fleet. I've heard some negatives about the adults only areas. It seems like it was built for families in mind without much regard for groups I'm of only adults. I'm also waiting for it to do longer itineraries than the 3-4 night sailings.

So I won't say "Never will I go on the Wish". Just "Need to temper expectations about certain things and a longer itinerary". Though maybe I'll cave & do a b2b...

I think you should switch to the Fantasy.

I love the Fantasy. I have a cruise booked on the Fantasy for April 2024. This was a quick last-minute getaway where if I went from Sunday to Sunday I could squeeze in my remaining vacation time for the year and do a few days on the cruise and 2 1/2 days in the parks. With that said, even if I do love the Wish, unless the itinerary expands to longer sailings and moves beyond Nassau and the Bahamas, it will be a one-and-done for me. There I go again, saying never. :goodvibes

This is why Disney ALWAYS WINS.
No wdw for me, NO cruise for me, Disney's NOT getting my money.
I'm halfway there with you. Unfortunately, I really love their cruise line. I have branched out and have really enjoyed other cruise lines. I just spent two weeks in Europe with no connections to Disney. My wallet appreciated it.

I've also learned that. Having done almost only Disney since 2008, we discovered Regent Seven Seas this past March and loved it. It was not cheap, but 10 nights on an all-inclusive luxury cruise line was still a great value in my opinion. We have another one booked for next year.
