Never rented points before...

We're planning a family vacation in April/May 2008 and are interested in renting points. Is it possible to do this for 3 separate rooms? Which resorts qualify? How much of a "hassle" is it to do this versus just booking a room through Disney?

You need to rent a reservation from a DVC member for a DVC resort room. Otherwise, you will spend more on the reservation for a non-DVC resort than you would through CRO.

There are several threads about the ins and outs of renting a DVC reservation. You might want to search for them.

The more reservations you need the more points it will take and you might have to search for more than one member to make your reservation.

There are different room configurations depending on the size of your party. Again, check that out by a search.

There are risks. You might not be able to cancel. You may have to pay cash to the member. They fully control the reservation and you will not be able to call Member Services to confirm the reservation.
