We had the same rumor here in TN except it was noon on Thursday.
I did however go ahead and fill up before the prices went up again.
This whole situation is just crazy.

I am so sick of all the rumors about gas and gas station. Places ARE out of gas because of these stupid rumors and everyone freaking out. About three people came up to me today at work and said, OMG there is no gas. I told them (and this is true) that on my way to the gym and work this morning I passed no less than 7 gas stations and they were ALL pumping gas. Geez.

That is ridiculous. I thought it strange that they would close here in our county because I've seen no lines at all. Everything is like any other day. I did change the title of this thread to nip it in the bud at my end!!

Correction, your supplied by two pipelines...and they're not damaged. In fact, the Plantation pipeline has restored to full capacity and the Colonial pipeline will be at 85% by the weekend.

CNN just showed footage of a Baltimore gas station and the line of people waiting to get gas. They were warning people not to listen to these rumors.

According to CNN news online the Colonial is operating at 38% and should be up to 74% by Monday. The Plantation pipeline is only operating at 24%.

I drove past two AA County gas stations after I left work at 3:30, and there were lines at both of them. Not LONG lines - but 8 or 10 cars at each set of pumps at stations you can usually pull right in to. So apparently some people were believing the rumors. WTOP was announcing every few minutes on the radio that the rumors are FALSE.
