I posted that, about a month ago, a well-known CM reported that characters were no longer allowed on rides. Within a few days, other visitors stated that they were still seeing this happening. I'm not sure of the whole truth, but it seems that, if there is a general policy keeping the characters off rides, exceptions can be made by a lead. Perhaps the "general policy" was just reiterated.

The capper is, that I've just seen a new set of photos from this same CM, featuring Alice and the Mad Hatter on the carousel. The flickr photostream is here.

The photos mentioned are from Sunday the 21st, and that's Care Bear as Alice. She's also been Wendy as recently as the 24th. I haven't heard anything about her leaving, but haven't been at the park lately. What's your source?

I just lurk and someone posted with pictures that the 14th was her last day. At first I was confused too because I thought that it's her in those pictures too like you said.

She's a CM who is pretty good friends with the CMs who play characters. So in her days in the parks not working she takes photos of the characters as a hobby.

Oh that is so cute!!!! My DBF would dance with Alice in a flat second. She's his favorite. I tell him it's a little creepy because Alice is supposed to be a little girl but he tells me it's OK because 1, she's fictional and 2, the people who play her in the parks are not little girls. LOL He has a whole page of Alice pins, he grabs everyone he sees. His most favorite Christmas gift this year was the Lefcourt Alice pin I gave him.

From the look of the new pictures with Alice and Hatter on the carousel, it looks like there is their lead very close by to them.

That's how it's generally done at the opening ceremony - the "Dancing Daddies" with Alice & Hatter.
Also, you will often see the "synchronized strollers".
