Never Made a TSHirt- Can I do it?

I so want to make Tshirts- is it easy to do? Do you have to have equipment besides a printer? It doesn't come out backwards?
Gosh I sound really dumb- I just don't have a clue how to do it and I want to!!

Any help or advice is appreciated!

Thank you- that is what I need! It is overwhelming but I will buy the supplies and try! (I will try anything for dear grandson's first trip to Disney!)
