We were chosen to be the 5/9 Share A Dream Come True parade Grand Marshals!

My husband and oldest son went off to take the Magic Behind Our Steam Trains tour. They were in the MK at 7:15am when the rain began. The tour was started but then called off at about 9:00am. I met them with our other two sons in front of city hall at about 9:15. I was thrilled because Mickey & Minnie were posing for picures together and my sons agreed to get their photo taken

After the photo, my youngest son saw a cast member with a lanyard and took off across Main Street to pin trade. The CM played hide and seek with him around a trash can and into a store. We followed and observed the trade, reminding him of his manners (heis new at trading). The CM was very chatty with our family and then asked if we were going to be in the MK all day. I think my heart stopped! Then he asked us to be the Grand Marshals!

It was absolutley the most magical thing - riding in a vintage car down Main Street USA, smiling and waving at all the people smiling and waving at us. Plus there is the added bonus of seeing my four guys in mouse ears!

Once I figure out how to post a picture I will add it to this thread.

Was there anyone who taped the 5/9 afternoon parade at the MK? I would love a video of us riding down Main Street!

Oh Wow...can I ever relate to your story!! We were at MK on 5/4 and on a trip to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We had just finished getting our photo taken in front of the Castle when we were approached by a CM. After telling stories and answering questions, we were asked if we could do him a favor: "Sure!", we said! Then he asked us to be Grand Marshalls. I literally jumped up and down. It made our entire day, which turned out to be magical through and through!! I would post some photos too, but I am trying to learn how to link them to the boards.

I will never forget how it felt to be riding down that parade route and seeing all of those smiling faces! A once-in-a-lifetime experience!
