I've been going since I was one year old. I'm turning 40 this year and I've yet to receive a PIN. Maybe I go too much, they know they got me hooked already.
I used to get them and then stopped. Last year, I think I added about 10 accounts with 10 different emails and even used several different computers.
It looks like the email I made up for my mother in law hit, because she gets the PINs. And after our stay, she started getting the snail mail pins too.
I've never received one either. I've signed up for all kinds of Disney newsletters and no luck. But my mom got one yesterday by email and is hardly signed up for anything. The only thing I can figure out is that she always books by phone. Wish I knew the secret too.
I used to get them all the time when we weren't going Then last year I was getting them still and of course I was waiting for one to cover Oct 13...then they all stopped. Nothing. Last I got was one in January. Tried everything, resigned up etc, never got one this time.
It's one of those, if you really need it...cannot get it kind of things.
I can't seem to get one either, and I REALLY NEED one for march, 2014! I guess since I've been recently, disney doesn't think I need a code. I know your pain, OP!
Never a single PIN code - its great that you got lots and were able to use them though! My husband got one once for Disneyland, but it was the same as the general public offer at the time and my AP discount was better.
I used to get them in snail mail all the time after our 2009 trip (so remainder of 2009 and through 2010) and haven't gotten a darn thing since then. I could have used one of the room only ones for 2014...still could. HEAR ME MICKEY?!??
We had a trip planned for the last day of Nov to Dec 9th. Our whole family was on vacation in NC. My d-I-l does all the planning for our trips (god bless her). We were talking about free dining and hoping for a pin. My other d-I-l asked what it was. We explained to her what they are and told her if she got any to call us immediately. They arrived home from NC and she called so excited, she said my son had a pin. If just happened to be free dining the same week we already had booked. Then my son, says, "oh, I get these all the time and just throw them away".
I've never gotten one. I've tried all the "tricks", but no. Probably not in the demographic of who they want to attract. Ad I've been to WDW at least 30 times in the last 20 years.
They probably figure I'll come anyway, so why bother!
I used to get them regularly. Then in mid 2011 they just stopped and I've never had another one since, so in my case, the theory of being active and running up quotes on the website aren't relevant because I'm on there ALL the time
