Looks like the temps are going to be pretty chilly this weekend. Lows near 40 and highs of only 58 on Sunday.

This is our third year in a row where things were really cold.
Break out the Mickey jackets, gloves and sweatshirts.

Bummer.

but if it makes you feel any better...I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and it is -37 right now. Makes Florida a heat wave!
Bundle up and have a great time! Dawn

YIKES!!! :scared: We have ::MickeyMo VMCP that Sunday!!! Burrrrrrrrrr!!!!! I guess we'll put those hats/gloves/mittens/sweaters/coats to good use. I'd imagine by 10-11pm it will be FREEEEZING!!!! <shiver>

(if anyone wants to see the 10 day here is the link: 10 day )

We're in Illinois, too!! We're flying out of St. Louis Saturday night! (In Missouri)

Well - it's definitely chillier here - and at least the rest of the week looks good! (highs of 75 mid-week for us!)

Oh Mr. :sunny:
:sunny:
Mr. Golden :sunny:
Please shine down on me!

We will be there that night as well, but accuweather has it being a litle warmer. Either way we will def. bring all our winter things--nothing like being cold.

We're at MVMCP Sunday night.....for another year.....it'll really feel like it's snowing! LOL

That hot chocolate will taste good.

MY FAULT!!!!

We've done a family Christmas jaunt to Disney for the past 4 years. Each year we've picked the coldest weekend of the month. Next year I'll give you guys more notice when we've chosen our weekend!! ::yes::

I know this sounds crazy but we are thinking about cancelling our trip because of this cold weather. We were at WDW during the same week last year and it poured almost every day. We ended up leaving one day early.

I do not want to spend the $ for our seven day trip if the weather is going to be cold. I think we are already past the cancellation cut off date so we would lose our deposit.

I am thinking about delaying the trip to May so we can be sure of warm weather. I don't think I can stand another December trip with poor weather!

We are going to try again this year for the same time and hope it is better than last year. We were there last year when it POURED buckets and washed out a couple of MVMCPs. We leave on the 10th (Wed) have tickets for MVMCP on Friday and come home on the 14th.

I am hoping for some good weather...but then again anything is better than being stuck in the midwest!!!!

bite your tongues!!!

Rain rain go away!!!!:umbrella: :sunny:

It looks like sunshine the whole week - and only one day of chilly temps!!! Not too shabby in my opinion!! Especially for Dec.

Well, we were at MVMCP last year (I think the first Friday in Dec) and it came down in buckets like I've never seen. Washed out the entire evening. Our friends were crushed but we got a rain check and came back Sunday and had wonderful weather.

I never go to the water parks in Decemer and day there in the 60's can actually be really comfortable.

Dawn: my brother teaches at Ann Wein school up by you.

I just want to get there - they are talking about a big snow storm for the east on Saturday!!!

Well I thought the temps were a little cool but when i checked the 10 day forcast for home, these looked great!!! We are packed for all weather and leave out friday mid-day. Just hope that ice or snow at home does not interfere. I like it a little cold at Christmas.

Three days to go!!!!!!!!!

I've been glued to the 10 day weather forcast all day. Actually it's looking pretty good now. Just cold. Well, cold for Florida. The temps are in the 40s and 50s here now (Portland ,OR) and it doesn't seem bad. I was just worried about the rain that was in the forcast last night. But we're pulling out the ponchos and litte "tote" umbrellas so we're ready for anything! Rain is just a way of life here.....

:umbrella:

I'm exited!! less than 4 days!! :hyper:

Ok, now I'm going upstairs to throw a couple more sweaters in everyone's suitcase.....:wave2:

We were just there in June for 12 days and it rained every
single day! However, it wasn't hot and it thinned the crowds
somewhat! Like the DH said if it's cold we'll just hang at the
resort and drink....Sounds like a plan to me!!!

Jill:crazy:

And here I thought my suitcases had been packed!! Every time I come to this board, I'm packing, repacking, taking sweaters out, putting them back in.....Looks like I'm back in there to put one more warm shirt in for everyone. Ugggghhhhh....why can't we just have nice 70s all week?

See you all there!:wave2:

Guys-just remeber that these long-range forecasts change on a daily basis---

I know when people think of FL they think WARM & SUNNY all year. Yet, down here (I live in South FL.) most of us can't wait for Dec./Jan. weather! I enjoy the sunny days but I'll take a chilly day at WDW over a HOT day anytime!

It's easier on the kids and us to stand in line when you are NOT sweating up a storm, dying for another drink and wishing to just go to the resort pool for a swim.

The chilly air keeps us up and going and as long as you remember your gloves and hat you'll be comfortable.

Besides rain isn't as probable during Dec/Jan!

I'll be spending XMas with the Mouse, and we'll both be wearing our gloves!

Happy Holidays and counting down til our trip Christmas Morning!

I guess the "cold" weather issue is a matter of perception/preference. Whereas, many of the posters feel the cold weather is a negative, I personally go this time of year because of the cool weather. Down here in Ft. Lauderdale, it is usually in the upper 70's to low 80's and miserably humid. How can one get into the Christmas spirit with that type of weather!

There is a special feeling being at the AKL, around the fire, when the weather is cold. The Christmas Tree in the lobby and all the decorations etc.... Epcot is especially festive with the Candlelight Processional and the cool crisp air.:cool1:

I can't wait to get there. Four more days!!!
