My day is next week so do I just choose a date and all available fast passes appear or do I need to pick a time - how does it work?

I did read many, many pages of that thread, but didn’t see my specific question, though I may have missed it since it’s hundreds of pages and very overwhelming to read.

If you are using the My Disney Experience app, it will guide you through it. There is a tab called "Fast Pass+" The app is very user-friendly!

What you will do is pick a day, then a park. You can select attractions and a general time, like morning or evening and it will show you the available times. Select one. You can always change and adjust them later. Note that it will not show you times that conflict with other Fast Pass selections you have already made for that day.

I recommend that you try for the hardest to get items first. Definitely check out the FAQ to figure out priorities, but generally Flight of Passage, Frozen Ever After and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are the really tough ones. Because you can book for your whole trip, the days later in your trip will have more availability. Try to book the later days first since you have a better shot of getting the popular attractions. If you don't get an ideal time, you can always look to change it later.

Hope that helps. Good luck!

Oh, gosh! That's a lot of reading! As it says in the first post, all of the info is contained in the first 12 posts - everything else is just specific questions.

I'm mote of a visual person, so it's hard for me to explain the process. You might find it helpful to search YouTube for video about how to book your fastpasses. That's what I did.

You choose the people in your party, then the date, then the park. It will then show you a list of attractions with a few times available next to it. There will be more times available than that, click "view details" and it will give you more times to choose from.

Like PP said, go for the hardest ones first. When I did my FPs, I did my 4th day first, because that was our first AK day, and I wanted FoP. Still couldn't get it. Went to day 6 and was able to get one. I didn't want Frozen, so no problem there. I was able to get 7DMT several days after our FP window opened. SO, for us, only FoP was a problem.

Dakota,
My 1st time was this past spring. I actually watched YouTube videos to see how it works...they helped a lot.
