Never Doing Disney Without The DDP Again Report!

Woo! Great reviews and pictures. I completely agree with you about the DDP. We don't go to Disney without it!

This one is on Kona Cafe. My fiance and myself had dinner here and both enjoyed it. We didn't order any appetizers as we had planned on getting some sushi from the sushi bar for later, but we were both too full to get any afterwards. We did take some pictures from the sushi bar though.

The sushi looked really good, but we both were much too full.

My fiance ordered the prime rib, which he loved, it came with brocollini and mashed potatoes. The steak was cooked perfect, I had a piece or two...

I ordered the coconut almond chicken. It was really yummy, again I wanted to lick the plate, soooo good.

The dessert I ordered here was my favorite of the trip. I ordered banana-chocolate creme brulee. It came with a carmelized banana and it was soooo good. It was a banana creme brulee with a ganache like chocolate on the bottom.

My fiance ordered the chocolate fondue, which he loved as well. It came with 4 homemade cookies to dip into it as well.

We both loved Kona Cafe and want to come back, we want to try breakfast here next time as everyone faves about the Tonga Toast.

Last review coming tomorrow.

I was so excited to find your dining reviews. You have chosen a lot of the restaurants that I haven't been to, but have been wanting to try. Thanks for the pics and reviews!!

Michelle and Aaron: The chicken was really good, it had a coconut coating on it and the sauce on it was really good too. I would definetly order it again.

:cool1:

Wow great pictures and close up too!!!
Thanks for the review and the pictures. I was glad to see Yak & Yeti report, the food looks delicious, were thinking of adding it to our plan in March. Also the coconut chicken at Kona looks quite appealing. Great reviews.

This was our waitress (Sept 07') as well, she was awsome! I highly recommend requesting her. She made both my girls' birthday dinner very memorable!!

Whispering Canyon Cafe was such a blast, waitress whose name was Heada Lettuce was great. My fiance knew about asking for a bigger straw and she played along with us throughout dinner. Unfortunetly we both were having such a great time the only picture we got of dinner was the skillet after we had finished, but we did get some shots of the desserts.

Skillets after we'd finished them

My dessert which was some apple carmel pie, it was beyond yummy, unfortunetly I couldn't finish it all :(

My fiance's dessert was bananas in a carmel sauce with icecream in a cinnamon shell, he enjoyed it so much I didn't even get a bite before it was gone.

We decided to order appetizers here as well both wanted to try one of the soups. I ordered the onion soup, which was soo yummy and filling. The cheese on the top and the croutons in it were so good. My fiance kept trying to eat some of it, I had to keep him away from this soup.

My fiance ordered the lobster bisque and it was very good as well. He loved it.

Unfortunetly I don't know why, but we didn't take any pictures of the entrees, but they were both very good. I ordered the chicken and it was so good. Fiance ordered the duck and enjoyed it very much as well.

The server was very attentive and well knowledgable, he told me what dessert to order. Unfortunetly I have no clue what it was, just that it was really really good. It had a berry sorbet on top of an orange-coconut puree on a yummy cookie.

My fiance ordered some chocolate mousse cake for dessert, which he loved as well.

The desserts were very pretty and yummy. We will definetly try to make it back here next trip.

In trip conclusion we had a wonderful time. This second trip of ours to disney made the fiance contemplate DVC! We will be coming back for our honeymoon in Nov 2009, hopefully at AKV, with deluxe dining. We had such a great time and will never do disney off-site or without DDP again, we truly enjoyed both.
