never cruised before

We have never cruised before and are considering a 4 night stay on DCL next June 13th. Is this a nice time to cruise? How is the weather and when are the peak seasons (price wise) to cruise and when are the less expensive times to cruise? Thanks in advance for any info.

Anytime the kids are out of school - summer, spring break, Thanksgiving break, Christmas - is going to be peak. So that makes June peak. But sometimes you have to go when your schedule allows. We're sailing this coming June.

Booking early will get you the best price whenever you go. Check the DCL site and with some TAs such as Dreams Unlimited (sponsor this board) for some price quotes.

Being a teacher, I can only cruise at "peak" times. We have always cruised at spring break as breaks are different for everyone. The ship has always been ful but you wouldn't know it. There's so many activities, excursions, etc. that I haven't noticed a problem except maybe at the pools - they can get very crowded on "at sea" days. Good luck with your decision.
