I don't know where else to post this but maybe it will forewarn somebody. I am a 125 pound female, I have purchased 2 different shirts over the last couple years. The latest was the purple women's Wizardly Wheezes tshirt. I got an XL, knowing that they probably ran small and the shirt is so tight on m that I can't wear it. Year before that I got a Potter Jersey size Large and it is also too tight to wear. Notice, they don't allow reviews on their online store and I guarantee this is why!!!! What a ripoff.

Did you call them and let them know? An adult t-shirt in a L should be huge on a 125 pound woman. Their t-shirts don't differentiate between men and women, they are just adult or youth.

There are women's t-shirts. They definitely have a feminine cut, and the girl that worked there said they were women's. They are curvy, no way is a just a youth tshirt. This is the Potter shirt and here are all the other ladies tops. I don't see the Wizardly Wheezes so maybe they quit selling the women's version. No I did not call them, I am in another state and even if I found the receipt it's from a few months ago.

I have this same problem at Disney AND Universal, their women's shirts are always really small on me if I get my normal size and usually even sizing up I still can't get it to fit (I'm rather fat though lol). I usually buy the mens shirts whether it is Disney or Universal! I have that same purple wizards wheezes shirt that you are talking about but after holding the women's shirt up to me in the store I went and got the mens!

I stay far away from anything that says "fitted". The women's shirts I saw them selling were mostly ones I would describe as fitted or the material would hug all the curves I don't want them to hug lol.

I tend to go for unisex (sometimes labled mens) shirts.

The men's which would also be considered unisex should have fit better.

One important thing I notice with the shirt OP that you gave as an example is it was made out of 60% Cotton/40% Polyester whereas the mens/unisex t-shirt I posted above is listed as 100% Cotton. Just knowing that I can guess the ladies shirt you got was a lot more form fitting. I personally felt like most of their shirts seems more like junior fitting than women's but that seems to be more common when companies make ladies vs men's/unisex cuts.

Ha! "form fitting" as in if you have 1/2" of flab on your belly it will be really, really obvious. But even if it's fitted it shouldn't be so tight that it's just uncomfortable. Anyway, I will give my 75 pound daughter the purple shirt and hopefully it won't be too snug on her!

The mens always look so unflattering and baggy though. Not that having your mama-chub-belly barely covered with a thin layer of tight cotton is flattering either. Surely there is some sort of compromise the clothing companies could make for us.

I would still give them a call. It is a toll free number and there is an email. We always recommend on this board that you bring up your disputes with the park/hotel/seller. You have to give them a chance to make it right. They will have record of your purchase since you purchased it online. You probably should have done something as soon as you received it to get a better response.

No, when we were there last fall in Diagon Alley my son got it for me as a gift.

Ah, ha - ask DS to start you a collection as souvenirs rather than t-shirts. If you collect ornaments or magnets, he could bring you one as he travels.
I really wish my DH wouldn't buy me shirts as souvenirs- I'm very picky on the cut and material. I'd rather just buy clothes in person than online. So much trouble trying to do an exchange or return!
Thanks for posting your heads up on the tshirts - I'll be sure to resist temptation to buy without seeing first!

If you are planning another visit at some point just take it back and exchange for the size you need. Universal shops will exchange it for you. I have never had a problem with that.

I bought one of the wands that had the light on the tip at a shop there and kept forgetting to take it back and finally last May I remembered it and took it back to the shop and they exchanged it no questions.

Doesn’t matter. Call them.

They can’t know there’s a problem with the cut if you just post here and give it to your daughter.

I feel your pain, OP.

I bought a T-shirt 4 years ago in adult L that said "The Mother of all Things" to go with my kids' Thing 1,2,3 shirts. There is no chance that was an adult XS even. My Thing 1 is a small 11 year old now and it fits her.

Had the same problem with the women's Marvel shirts. My husband bought me a really cute one and gave it to me after we got home. Definitely Junior sizing and small for that. My 9 year old can wear it but doesn't like Spiderman.

Good idea! Magnets are good because they are so small.

I think the wands have a guarantee that they can always be exchanged if they break, even without a receipt.

True, I will call them

Such a bummer! I love those Thing shirts.

Doesn't like Spiderman? :( Has she been on the ride?

I’ve bought quite a few shirts from the WWOHP, the HP studio tour here in the UK and Marvel shirts from Uni over the last 6 years and they all still fit fine. Some are Women's and some are Men’s.

I stretch them out as soon as they’ve done in the washer and then let them dry in the Airing Cupboard. Never had any shrinkage problems with any of them.
