Hi there,

I have been to Disney 3 times but have never been outside of WDW. I don't really like big rides, and am Disney obsessed.

We are having a 3 day trip coming up and were going to go to Typhoon Lagoon, MK and MGM. Should I maybe visit Universal one of these days????

Thanks!

Hi there,

Should I maybe visit Universal one of these days????

Thanks!

I suggest you stay for at least 2 days, and onsite. 1 park for each day. Reason I suggest staying onsite is you get the Universal Express for the main attractions without standing in very long lines. Lots of people who post negative trip reports about Universal don't stay onsite. Doing so, they don't get Universal Express, and they have to wait in the long lines. And Universal IS very clean. There maybe the occasional trash, but that happens at Disney, too.

My short answer to your question is "No". It seems like you have your 3 days pretty planned out. Stick with Disney.

Hey there fellow Torontonian. I also don't think you have enough time to squeeze in Universal. I do think next time, you should just do a three day Universal trip though.

Hi there,

I'm debating whether to do just Universal or just Disney... see my post in the Canadian board.

And you still havent answered as to what you think will be BIG RIDES.

I did a comparison on another thread of Hulk and RRC. Hulk is a slower launch, has a smaller drop has a lesser g-force, but has three more inversions than RRC...yet Hulk is deemed the monster. Research people....
But dont feel bad, My sis loves Mummy...loves it. Is too chicken to go on Space Mountain.
Lets see....Spiderman...you can do that. Dr. Doom..its over real quick and not as intense as ToT. Dudley Do right...yeah its more fun than Splash Mountain. Popeye, you can do that. Jurassic Park...ehhh..maybe not.
Dueling Dragons...fun fun fun fun fun. Suess Landing..sure.
I say you've been to disney and MGM enough, cut out two days in your plans and do a day at either park. If worse comes to worse you can spend two days at the Studios and have a good time.

I think we are going to stay at Disney... and then do Typhoon Lagoon, MK and then one of the Universal Parks... possibly.

How do you usually get from Disney to Universal???? And, if you take a cab, how much does it cost????

A cab will run you about $40 each way depending on where you are staying. Make sure you arrive at the park before opening if you are staying offsite to take advantage of the low lines. May is a good time to go except for the days when the school groups are there.
