^ Totally agree that WDW MK feels wrong and weird after having grown up going to DL.
I'm not into rollercoasters or drops so DCA has never been my thing. The only time I've ever really enjoyed it was when they had the Mad T Party - I so so wish they would bring it back. Some of the Cars Land and Bugs Life rides are fun and maybe in the coming years after they've flushed it out, I think DCA will be able to hold its own. If it's only one park or the other, go with DL. Best case scenario, I agree with the others, a park hopper is the way to go.
I haven't stayed in GCH or DLH but I have stayed at PPH and it made life much easier. We plan to splurge for GCH on our next trip, and I totally second the fact the lodge vibe is incredibly pretty and relaxing.
Personally (and this is for pre-COVID DL), I've found it easy to do all my favorite DL rides and pin trade and then leave DL around 3pm to walk over to the other gate, go to DCA for a couple hours, and then I head home. Sometimes I'll set up an ADR at DCA just to have something to do, since they have a nice winery area and we can sit and have a drink.
