But I have also never been to WDW with kids...so we have Chef Mickey's and Rainforest Cafe, question is .....is 'Ohana OK for a picky eater? My step son is picky! And I was reading the menu and I am not sure how he will do here. I don't want to spend the money if hes going to want like PBJ.... Anyone else have this? Hes 7...also whats the atmosphere like? is it a show? I have never been to the poly so I have no idea what to expect. Thanks for any incite!!

My 12 year old picky eater has not enjoyed Ohana dinner, but did enjoy the breakfast. In my opinion the quality of Ohana dinner has gone way down anyway, so we have switched to Kona Cafe. It is one of our favorites at WDW. Very upscale meal in comfortable atmosphere. The kids' menu contains the usual WDW kids' items for less than $6.

I would recommend away from Rainforest Cafe. At Ohana, the show is that they have little races for the kids. They also hand out the little umbrella things and gummi worms. We like Kona Cafe for lunch and Ohana for dinner.

Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL would be a good choice.

Thanks for the advice...we are doing WCC for Breakfast (10:40) brunch I guess lol. Chef Mickeys for lunch one day, Ohanas for dinner one night and Rainforest for Dinner one night, beaches and Creme in between there and snacks etc at the parks, my brother is currently at Disney and he went to RFC at DTD and said it was AWESOME! He said the kids loved it, I am not a big food critic when people say something is just ok I am usually like WOW I thought it was AWESOME! My brother is however a huge food critic and he said it was awesome.... :confused3 I dont know I am getting lots of different opinions in RFC but from what my bro said and the atmosphere its worth the try for the kids for me. Thanks for confirming about Ohanas I was getting worried because of the food (DSS is a picky eater) but from what I have seen it seems to be a good choice! This is their first trip to Disney EVER so I dont think that anything will dissappoint. Thanks!!! :thanks: :disrocks:

We went to 'Ohana for the first time in July and the kids really had a nice time. My DS7 is also very picky, so we got the grilled cheese they offer for picky kids. Basically anything from the Kona kids' menu can be sent over; DD got chicken fingers. Our server did say she would recommend letting the kids "try" the regular 'Ohana food first, but I knew that wouldn't fly at all, so we went ahead and ordered the other food from Kona.

I would go to 'Ohana for two reasons: the food is really, really good (among our favorites from the 8 night trip) while the atmosphere is fun (very Disney). And they do accommodate those picky kids.

We had a blast and will be sure to return next year.
