After a 33% increase in my internet service rate starting this month, combined with a 25% upcoming increase in my local phone service rate in March, I'm fed up with AT&T. There are no cheaper local phone service providers in my area, so I am debating just dropping local phone service altogether and going with NetTALK (I'd keep Internet-only with AT&T).
Do you have experience with NetTALK? Do you like it? Have you had any issues? I don't want to go down to just cell phone service, because I don't like the way people don't hear you if you talk over the top of them (rude, I know, but phone calls with my elderly mother would be hard if I couldn't tell this was happening) - does NetTALK work more like a traditional phone line in this way, or like a cell phone?
