Netflix reports mass exodus after price increase

Think long and hard before going with blockbuster. We tried them and the turn around time is horrible. At one point we had 15 titles in our queue and 8 said available... None were actually mailed out in over a week. When we called to speak to someone we got some excuse that some titles that show as available aren't available near the customer so they don't get shipped.... And also found that their shipping centers only operate 5 days a week.... So when they get a return on Friday the soonest that they could send one out their door is Monday butin most cases will be Tuesday or later.

Ah, that explains why it always took so darn long to get our BBV movies (when we had them) but no time at all with Netflix. I thought it must be a distribution center thing (i.e., BBV didn't have as many as Netflix), which may also be true, I suppose. Never knew the 5 days a week thing (though if the post office removes Saturday from their schedule, it might not make a difference, lol).

Actually it was even worse than just a 5 day a week problem... When she was explaining the turn around time she told me that it generally takes 2 to 3 working days before they ship out a new DVD after they receive the one you send in... and yes... if the post office goes to 5 day weeks it will be a real nightmare.... I only hope that if the post office goes to 5 day weeks that they continue with saturday deliveries and cut Wednesday deliveries... would make things like Netflix and blockbuster much more viable than a 2 day in a row cut.... would also make it possible for people that actually work to actually go to a post office.... For some reason the post office seems to forget that when they close on saturday they also eliminate the possibility of some people using them, we probably use fedex now more than ever because the post office closest to us closes the counter on Saturday so you can't buy stamps or postage unless you take off work early during the week.
