I first read about this on the DIS, and now through a little Disney magic :) I can refer other families to it in the twinkling of a hyperlink:

The pics and info are from our April 27 2003 visit to Epcot. As I said in the article, dd loved it, ds would have rather skipped the whole thing but he was having a very 3YO moment. I can't praise the CMs (and the cookies ;) ) enough!

I had read about this before our last trip but didn't make it. Maybe this next trip DD4 can give it a shot. She just loves to make cookies. And I just love to eat them!

Am hoping to do it this summer ... but I've planned a pretty busy day in Epcot ... Storybook Princess Breakfast at 8:30AM, the ice cream social at 3PM ... am probably going to schedule the Story Magic story telling thingie (part of our package deal) at 4:15PM ... I hope to fit the cookie baking in before the ice cream social, LOL!

Oh no, my DD will be 11, do you think they'd let her do it? I wonder how strict they are about age. I'll say it again, I really wish WDW offered some programs for the 'tweens. She loved the PC last trip when she was 9 1/2 but now too old for all that!:(

Thanks for the info!

Vicb, when we did it there were some boys involved who probably were 10 or 11, and not behaving very well  yet they were allowed to participate. I don't think they asked ages, and in fact, they perhaps allowed in *too* many children, as it got a bit crowded.

I'm sure your DD will be co-operative and polite and there will be no problem. Maybe she could even help the littler ones. :D

That sounds great... and was there any extra charge?

We did the Grand Adventures in Cooking a LONG time ago, and there was a charge involved.

Nope, no charge, just one of those little perks the sponsors (in this case Nestle) provide. And it sure does make you want some cookies! :)

My girls (6&9)did this in April and enjoyed it, it was a nice break from all the overstimulation. We just happened to be in the pavilion about 15 mintues before they started the next program and the CM's asked the girls if they would like to do it.

That said I would not schedule my day at Epcot aroun this, esp if you bake with the kids at home. When we enter the land pavilion check out the fp times for the living with the land ride and then we do the other activities and sometimes lunch to fill the time until our fp time. The jr chef was part of that "time filling" as well as food rocks and lunch!! There is a sign outside the nestle booth with the next time posted. HTH

Thanks for the bump!!! I followed the link to wdwig. However, never having been to WDW, where is "The Land Pavillion"? I would love to let the kids do this!

Thanks!
