Does anyone know if they still do this and do you have info about it? I think DD will love this.

What age group is this appropriate for? Could someone please describe it to me so I have a better idea of what to expect? Thanks!

NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE is sponsoring the Junior Chef Program at Walt Disney World in Florida, where Nestlé USA hosts the Land Pavilion in Epcot. The Junior Chef Program introduces children to the hands-on enjoyment of baking and reminds parents of the nostalgic fun that they may have been missing.

At five scheduled times during the day, groups of approximately 15-20 children who have volunteered to participate make NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE cookies from scratch. The youngsters, between the ages of 3 and 12, enter the baking area through a façade of a NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE. There they are fitted with personalized chef hats. Gathered around tables, they take turns adding and mixing ingredients from canisters and Nestlé TOLL HOUSE morsels bags to make the original NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE cookie recipe. After they place the dough on cookie sheets, the cookies are whisked to Disney's "magic ovens." About four minutes later, each child receives a yellow NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE bag with three warm cookies.

The Disney Jr. Chef experience at the Land Pavilion in Epcot is open and ready for baking!

Hope this helps,

I saw a sign for this when I was there last week. I wish I had looked in to it. My 3 yr old DGD would have loved it!

My son did this when he was about 4 and liked it. I think it is better for kids on the younger side, maybe up to 8 or 9. I don't think a 10-12 year old would like it.

My 8 year old DS and 6 year old DD did this 2 weeks ago. They enjoyed it but my DS looked like he was getting too old for it. It takes about 45 minutes.

Is this something you can make reservations for in advance or sign up for that day at Epcot? Just curious if anyone has been "shut out" of a session if they only allow 15-20 children each time. My DS will be 4 on our next trip and I think he'd love this! (and his younger DS would be happy with the resulting treats!)

It says "15-20 kids who volunteer". How do you volunteer? Should you get there early? Just curious how it works. Thanks.:thumbsup2

To volunteer, you go get in line about fifteen minute before it starts. I doubt you have any problems with it.

And, No way it takes 45 minutes.

My DS dis this in September. He had a blast! Here are some pics...

My 4 yr old DS loves to make cookies with me, so this is definitely on my list. And since I was on the Nestle Toll House Baking Advisory Council for a year recently, I think he really needs to do this!

Does anyone know what the times are that they do it?

I am so excited about this!! I haven't told DS yet just incase they don't have it during the off season. We are going in February. I sure hope they have it then because I just know he is going to LOVE IT!

Both of my 4 year olds LOVED it. My oldest 2 did it up until 2 years ago and they were 10/11 then. You get a free cookie when you're done too..yummy!

We got there about 15-20 minutes prior to the show and the older ones went and rode Soarin with their dad. I'd say that the whole thing probably lasted 20-30 minutes. It's really fun and they give each child a different job in making the cookies...so it's fun and gives you lots of opportunities for photos :)

Great. DD will really enjoy this next trip. Anyone else have any more pics or info? It would be great to know the schedule for this.

My ds and nephew did this in december last year. They were 4 and 8 at the time. The 8 yo was a little bored....but that is just him. My 4 yo would have liked it more...had he gotten to do more. It was a VERY crowded session and they were mostly big kids. 8-12 years or so. He was shoved to the middle of the table and got to do 1 thing. The CM did have him take that exact picture another poster posted...showing him about to eat an entire blob of cookie dough. :)

It lasted atleast 30 minutes and they left with 2 free cookies. We would and will do it again, but will look out for crowded sessions.

My 5 yr old would love this but he has a peanut/tree nut allergy, does anyone if the mix is peanut free.

Where in the park would the times be listed? Is it on the daily park map times schedule that you get when you enter the park?
