OK...so I added a couple days to our trip and changed from CBR to AKL because that is one resort I have never stayed out.....

But, after reading some threads I am nervous that I made the wrong choice. Hoping not....but....

Does anyone have any input regarding the standard room I booked, the construction, etc.

Hoping someone can help.

Was hoping to get some input....

and adding in that while making dining reservations today a very friendly, and chatty rep questioned me about 4 times whether or not I should keep my reservation at AKL due to the construction

She truly freaked me out and now i am even more nervous

Interesting. We will be staying at AKL the exact time you will be there. It will be our first time at the resort as well. My biggest fear is that construction noise may keep the animals away. We can vent to one another prior to leaving ;) But here's to hoping we both have a great stay!

Ha....It IS a small world! I'll be there with my almost 4 year old......girl only trip again to WDW!

I just called and got a pool view (requested a view of the flamingo pond) so at least I have moved 'up' from my standard

This is funny now....this started as a last minute 3 night trip to CBR and is now 7 nights at AKL....insane seeing as we are going back for 2 weeks in Dec for Christmas!

The last reports I have read on "JAMBO!" the unofficial AKL thread (to be found under the sticky with FAQs) is that the impact of construction is not bad at all, they really try to keep the guests away from the noise.

OK so we stayed here and June and I must say you need to relax about it. You can barely even notice the construction. There are some drapes in the lobby to hide the construction.

Here are some pics of the lobby
