I have a DN that is 2 years old and won't be three until August, however whenever someone asks him how old he is, he always states he is a different age than what he really is. One time he will say he is 2, another time he will say he is 4, and yet another he says he is a baby. I am just concern for when we go to DW that if the CM asks how old he is, he will happen to say he is 3 or 4. We had to buy him a ticket for the airplane since he is 2, so there isn't really a reason to bring his birth certificate. Do you think this will cause any problems? :confused3

I wouldn't worry about it. He's bound to say that he's Buzz Lightyear too, but I bet they won't believe him! :)

Actually, we traveled with my nephew (2yrs. old) to Disney, and we were all concerned because he talks with a vocabulary that would rival his 5 year old brother. But no one ever questioned it!

Have a great time!

I wouldn't worry about it. My dd is tall for her age and has always looked older than she is. We have never been questioned.

I witnessed just what you're fearing--a few years ago at DL--when a girl told the CM she was 3, the mom said she was 2 but almost 3 and just practicing. The CM pointedly told the mom that they take the child's word for it in this case and that mom would have to purchase a ticket unless she had the birth certificate to prove the age. So I would advise you to bring a copy of the birth certificate just in case. It's a lot cheaper to do that than to have to buy a ticket at the gate (which is exactly what the mom I saw ended up doing!).

I would also suggest that if you're worried about it, just to take along a copy of his birth certificate. DS will be 2 years 9 months when we go and he is VERY tall for his age. Everyone who guesses his age ALWAYS guesses 3. We'll definitely be taking a copy of his birth certificate for my own peace of mind. I don't want anyone to think we're trying to sneak him in as a 2 year old  -- I want to be able to easily prove he is!!! :thumbsup2

If you are worried about it then Id just take the birth certificate.. Its a small piece of paper and will put your mind at ease in case asked for it..

My DS was 2 months over 3 and I passed him off as under 3. Everytime we went through the gate I made sure that he was in his carriage. No one ever asked me or him how old he was.

I was worried the same as you. Our two 1/2 yr old is very tall for his age and talks amazingly well. IN oct he was as tall as an average 4 1/2 yr old. I was afraid noone would take my word for it, so I went to the registry and got him a State issued photo ID. It wasnt that much money but i had only the tempoary card with me since I waited too long, the permanent one was waiting for us when we got back.

But noone asked what his age was. I was glad I had some ID with me anyways - just for peace of mind if nothing else.

We went when my now 3 yo was just under 3, only once did anyone ask me how old he was (other than everyone who asked me if he and his younger brother-just 12 month difference-were twins). I told the cm that he was still 2 and she took my word for it. She never even attempted to ask him and he was right next to me. He couldn't have told her anyway-he has a speech/language impairment-he would have just as easily said purple.

We were never asked for our kids, we just carried them through the turnstyle and didn't call attention to it. We were waiting to try to coordinate our passes so they would be close to the same expiration date and a couple of CM's told us it wouldn't be a problem.
