We are going to delicate the first part of one of our MMs to riding NEMO. On RideMax they mention that for MM you want to go on into Fantasyland and around the north side Matterhorn to get in line? Has that been people's experience recently? I haven't been to Disney since childhood so if am I misunderstanding set me straight! :thumbsup2 From what I have read a wrong turn could cost us 15-30 min wait...

If it matters we are planning on doing it on a Sunday morning.

I think the south side of the Matterhorn is a more direct route. Perhaps they are thinking that the line may already be wrapping around the lagoon? As you head up Main St, go to the right of the castle then turn right before passing the Matterhorn. Going around the Matterhorn's north side will definitely take longer. Of course, if this route is blocked during MM, then go with RideMax or cut through Tomorrowland.

No, they definitely direct you around the north side of the Matterhorn. I guess they want the crowd already spread out so there's no crowding getting into the line. So there are usually CMs along the route directing you: "Nemo this way. Please don't run." If you went through Tomorrowland you'd end up backtracking along the chained off queue line.

I suggest you get to the security tables before they open-- if you're doing MM at 7 a.m., get there at 6:20. That way you are likely to be the first at the turnstile, or only a couple back. You can walk briskly and make it onto the second boat, maybe even the first. Watch out for the runners. Many people run, even though they're being asked not to.

Good luck!

We were there a couple of weeks ago on Sunday.

Our strategy was to do other fantasyland rides and then head over to Nemo after 55 minutes -- that is, just before regular park opening. This turned out perfect. We didn't have to run and we didn't wait more than 5 minutes. I think most of the MM crowd for whom Nemo was a priority went straight to it. By the time we got over there, they were mostly done and had moved on to other stuff, so it worked perfectly.

Not saying you can count on this, and it's a very small sample size, but it worked perfectly for us.

We were there this morning and managed to get on the 1st sub, thanks to the advice on this board! DH got up EARLY and was the 2nd one at the main gate while I got the kids (2 and 4) ready. We took the 2nd right by the Matterhorn, did a little power walk with the stroller, and were done by 7:24 AM. Our experience has taught us to GET THERE EARLY!! The first 2 hours are GOLDEN. We slipped in PP x 2 after Nemo with minimal wait time. We did see 2 lines forming at the DTD monorail station on our way to DL, probably heading for Nemo too.

eek which way is north. lol no kidding i can barely get out of a cardboard box
