Neighborhood Kids - Vent

I am really getting upset by a few neighborhood boys. The past few days they have been taunting my DS 12. They have been shooting acorns at him and now at our house. They are hitting my front door constantly.

Well now they put the old dog poop in a bag on the front porch along with trash and stuff.

DS says he wants to go after them, but I know that's what they want him to do. I don't know what started it but I'll be glad when they go back to school tomorrow. This has gone on all weekend.

Do you know the names of the kids? If so, call their parents. If they do nothing, keep the evidence and call and lodge a complaint with the police.

I agree. Call the police and let them handle it. If you and or your son have actually seen them throwing things at your child or house there are a variety of charges that could be lodged. I'ts possible the parents do not know what the kids are doing, But I wouldn't confront the parents. Call the police talk to them, my bet is that the first thing they'll want to do is talk to the parents of the boys. If the parents are concerned and care about their kids, that's all it will take. If they aren't, then it's best that you weren't the ones to call them.

Do'nt let your kid go after them. Take the high road. It's just too dangerous out there these days with crazy people.

I would also call the school and let them know taht this is a problem at home, and ask them to keep an eye at school as well.

I would add that camcorders are very useful in this situation, especially if they see you using iT!
