We have been searching for several properties and we finally decided to settle for the one at Sweetwater Condos last night. It looked pretty nice from the pictures and the owner that we spoke with was very pleasant and had great things to say about it. We settled on a price and are going to mail him the deposit, although no deposit has been sent yet.
The question is.. this morning I get an email from another owner, at a different, newer set of condos... and actually the condo I had originally wanted to stay in to begin with... and his price is around 80 something dollars cheaper for the week. Not a lot of money, but this is a newer property.. closer to Disney, and the pictures of this condo look a lot nicer. My dilemma... would you go for the cheaper, newer condo, or stick with the one that you already committed to. I would love to ask the owner of the original one to match the price of the second one.. but I can't seem to do that without feeling like a turd. Has this happened to anyone else? What to do???

If it were me, and I'd reached an agreement with the first owner, I would follow through on it. But, that's just me. You have to do what feels right to you.

Look at it this way---it's only $80. You'll spend more than that on lunch in Epcot some day. ;)

Go with the agreement already made. As Jiminy Cricket said - "Let your conscious be your guide". :thumbsup2 You'll feel better. :yay:

I negotiated with a few owners of condo's in Vista Cay back in November. And some were willing to negotiate, some were not. But I did all the negotiating before we came to an agreement on any of them.

Where do you guys contact houses/condo owners?

There's www.homeaway.com which is the parent company for many others which you'll see across the top of the following page:
http://guarantee.homeaway.com/
All of these sites are where owners list their homes.
There's also listings on specific communities such as www.windsorhillsrent.com
www.windsor-palms-florida-net
www.StayAtEmeraldIsland.com
http://www.indiancreekflorida.com/
and so on. These will keep you busy for a while. :)
