i hate em it makes me not want to vote whats your thoughts?

Yeah, they annoy me alot also. The only type of ads Crist plays are ads insulting Davis, that alone would be reason enough for me to not vote for him.

Maybe, instead of telling everyone what the opponent can't do, they should try to tell everyone what they, themselves, can do.

If I see one more ad using their mother, sister, or wife, telling the audience about how good of a person the candidate is, I will scream.

You tell me. Don't get your mommy to tell me she likes you. My mommy likes me too, that doesn't mean I am material for office.

Honestly, I think politics and the whole system with how we elect people should be done away.

politics suck.
their just a bunch of crooks honestly you know the saying from school of rock? I'm going to prolong that:

If you can't rock, teach, if you can't teach, teach gym, if you can't teach gym, be supply teacher, if you can't sub, then be a politician.

It's very simple there are two kinds of idiots in the world:
policticians and supply teachers.
I'm not saying all supply teachers are idiots, but the ones I have are just soo stupid.

Anyways, I don't care what others are doing wrong, I want to know what you'll do right.

I agree, that is exactly what I said in my post. :goodvibes I really think less of those who bash their opponents than the ones who tell me what they are going to do and how they are going to do it. That is why I am in favor for a candidate for MA governor who has avoided "bashing" the other. Either way, who ever wins this election in MA will make history for us. We have never had an African-American governor or an elected lady governor.

and they wonder why teens and young adults dont like voteing!

Well, most teens don't vote. You have to be 18 to vote right?
My father hates voting, from what I know he closes his eyes to and randomly picks one.

I was watching the provincial debate at school, and there were the three parties. Conservative, Liberal and NDP.
Now the leaders of the first two I named, were having an interesting arguement, and were hardly bashing each other. The liberal was the current premier, so he wasn't doing much bashing. The liberal said a few comments.
But the NDP? She just bashed both of them endlessly. It was ridiculous, and she was the new leader! People didn't know her, they didn't really know her party and she wasn't helping them. So She got 0 or 1 seats in the legislature.

politics and politicians both suck. I am so sick of their stupid negative campaign ads. If I were old to vote, I wouldn't. None of them can seem to tell me whats good about themself (which i agree with u all on).

Well I think, as a United States Citizen, if you are 18 or older it is your duty and responsibilty to vote. While not everyone may like voting, it isn't right to ignore it.

Politics don't work.

We need to have a comittee of very intelligent, well rounded people who select adaquate candidates for offices. Such as CEOs of huge companies. people that know how to run things. Not a popularity contest like we have now. After a four year term, we vote to see if we want to keep this person in office, and the cycle repeats.

Nothing is perfect. Things will be corrupt no matter what and to create the perfect government is near impossible. The politics in this country have so far gotten us through the Civil War, the Revolutionary War, and WWI & WWII. Politics work as well as anything would because politics is politics. No matter what you change, it will inevitably become politics.

People will naturally disagree with the way something is done, but at least it is done.

I like the saying, "You don't know what you have until it's gone". I think you would see a huge drop in success if the way politics are now, changes. The branchs of the government does its job. Not perfectly, but it does it.

It isn't the system that is off-key, they are the people that make is as corrupt as it...man is only man...human is only human. People will have needs and wants and that makes thing imperfect. Because a dangling carrot will forever flash before the eyes of every person, nothing can be flawless.

Politics works. Just maybe not as one may ultimately want it to.

I hate politics. Lets please not bring my Kindergarten Civics class onto the DIS.

there annoying
they make me want to not vote for them

the worst is when the people call your house asking who would you vote for today. i say no one and hang up.

"Topinka, what is she thinking?" one of the quotes they came up with

My father wouldn't rank high on your list then xD
While he is not a US citizen, he votes, but does not pay attention to who he votes for.
They're all losers, crooks and idiots to him.

I find some of them quite funny.

Like one going on for the govenor's race here in Florida. It supports Charlie Christ, and goes against Jim Davis. It's attacking Jim Davis's poor attendance record in congress. The way it's done is the commercial opens up and someone says, "we're looking for congressman Jim Davis." They go around asking like, tourists and stuff if they've seen him. They come to one family and they go, "we came all the way from Florida to see our congressman, but he's not here." Another voice goes, "have you seen his chair? It's always empty", and it goes on to show a shot of an empty chair rolling around.

It's funny.

Okay.
That's too funny.
I enjoyed that.
Wonder if I can find it on Youtube.

The guys in tennessee are using their mom saying things like "oh, he's such a good leader. I'm so proud of him"

^ So is the sad, sad nature of my state. Yes, I am a Tennessee girl.

One ad that absolutely irked me was the one telling how Harold Ford Jr. attended a Playboy party. I'm sorry, but what does that have ANYTHING to do with politics?!

We can't let THE MAN bring us down!!!
