We have a week off of work in June and I am about 5 minutes away from talking DH into a trip to Disney (after months of begging). Ready for the best part....THE FORT HAS AVAILABILITY!!!!!!!

:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

Once he says yes, I want to act fast. Should I book a full hook-up or premium? Last time we loved our preferred site but none are available.

We have a 31ft Winnebago Minnie with a slide out and awning. Other than cable, what will we go without if we book full hook-up? Also, Disney's web site says internet access is available in the Premium sites- Does that mean Wi-fi? And we might need a pet loop this time around if that has any affect on our choice.

I appreciate any advice!!
Back to my celebrating. :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

I can answer one of your questions...

Disney's web site says internet access is available in the Premium sites- Does that mean Wi-fi?

Website access at the campsites is wired and with ALL internet access through Disney's portal there is a $10 charge for 24 hours. Only WiFi access at FW is:
Reception Outpost Internet Cafe
Meadows Trading Post
Crockett's Tavern

More info HERE

There have been reports of campers picking up "free" WiFi here and there at FW, but the general consensus seems to be that they're lucking out and picking up another random camper's network.

Whoa!

Slow down a second.

Every loop in the Fort now has cable.

Every loop.

So, you will not be giving up cable if you book a full hook up site.

All you will be giving up is some extra concrete, a square plastic picnic table, and a cover for your grill. And, a better location. If you want to pay about $20 bucks more a night for those improvements, then book the premium. If you want to save the money and be in a slightly more remote area of the campground, book the full.

You did not mention when you are planning to go, but as far as we all can tell, the ultimate plan is that there will only be four full-hook up loops when all is said and done. They will be 1600-1900.

And, since all loops now have cable, all loops now have the same available wired internet access.

Unless you really want to be near the action, I'd go with full. They are nice, quiet loops typically with a fair amount of space. You will be using either a cart or buses a lot since they are not very close to Fort attractions. Congratulations!

I need to calm down and take deep breaths so I can call and book.
