Needing some advice..

Hi all,

We are thinking about spending our 5yr anniversary at DLP and using our DVC points. Is it worth it or should we pay out of pocket? Which resort would you recommend? We are thinking about going in Oct or Nov, has anyone gone at that time? Any more advice or recommendations are welcomed...

Hi, congratulations.

Afraid I can't comment on DVC points but in terms of hotels I'd recommend either Hotel New York or Sequioa main building. DLP Hotel is gorgeous but not worth the extra in my opinion.

I'd also recommend celebrating by visiting each of the bars in the Disney hotels - DLP main bar is one of the best. Oh, and definately eat at Walts in the Magic Kingdom - ask for the burger (it's not on the menu...)

Unless you have "Use them or lose them points", the DVC points it takes to get a room at DLRP are insane. We briefly looked at using our DVC points for 3 nights this summer at the Sequoia Lodge, but the $95 DVC fee, plus the cost of tickets came to about $1100. When we priced out booking a room package w/ tix in the Sequoia Lodge w/o using DVC points for the same 3 nights it cost us about $1400. For $300 more, I'll save the 112 points.
