DD and I will be visiting WDW in February of 2008. Should we get reservations for resturants? I've heard the crowds aren't too bad that time of year and didn't know if we needed to get reservations or not. TIA.

Yes...I would make ADR's. I would at least research to see what restaurants you absolutely do not want to miss and make reservations for those.

Absolutely. It has gotten to the point were it's a necessity to do so. Sure there are times when there will be an opening here and there, but I wouldn't count on it. The popular places book up really quickly. In 1995 I ate at Narcossies (sp.) three times with no reservation. We just walked up and there was no problem. I tried that again 5 years ago, no luck in several restaurants. I wouldn't chance it.

I'll respectfully disagree... unless you are going President's week, WDW is not busy and I was able to walk up to every restaurant I wanted to in February w/o a ressie.

IMO, unless you have a "must do" or ones that are considered very popular (CRT, Le Cellier for example) I wouldn't worry about ADRs near as much as I would in the summer time or during free dining.

I'd absolutely make them, busy time or not. There's nothing more frustrating than wanting a table-service meal and not being able to get one when you want it. BTDT a few trips back. Never again.

We went this Feb and needed ressies for Le Cellier lunch, CP breakfast and Cape May dinner. We did not need it for Spoodles breakfast or Cape May Breakfast but we had them anyways

Ok, since there are mixed opinions, does it cost anything to make a reservation? That'll be a big deciding factor for me. I know at most "regular" restaurants they just have your cc# as a hold. Is it the same at Disney?

It cost nothing! You don't need a CC hold or anything. They just ask for your reservation number, or your home phone. (this is for most restaurants, you do need one for a few of the high end restaurants like V&A..)
