Needing a princess meal - help

My 2 dds have (or will have) very nice princess dresses and want to go to a princess meal, preferrably with Cinderella in attendance. I would rather not shell out the money for the castle breakfast as we prefer to eat early in our room and do not want to spend the peak touring times in the park eating breakfast.

So, I thought I read somewhere (and now can't find the source) that Park Fare has a character meal that Cinderella attends? This would be even better for us because it is at a resort and we aren't tied to being at a park a certain day (trying to avoid park hopping... our kids are too one-track minded to want to hop)

So, where to you recommend we get a princess character meal that the girls can get dolled up for that we can all enjoy?

Park Fare does have Cinderella, Prince Charming and the wicked stepfamily there for lunch & dinner. Reviews of the characters on here have been great. I really didn't want to do a princess meal (my daughter is too young to care) since I have a boy but after reading how much fun this meal is, we're doing it. :)

The dinner at 1900 Park Fare is a Cinderella dinner, with Cinderella, Prince Charming, Anastasia, Drizella, and Lady Tremaine all usually in attendance. It's a buffet, but the food is decent.

Akershus at Epcot also has a princess meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but Cinderella is rarely there. The breakfast there is really good though, in my opinion, though I don't quite care so much for the food at lunch and dinner, though Ariel as a human is usually there for lunch and dinner, and that's the only place to see her as a human.

Cinderella's Royal Table, is overpriced, and though it's in the castle, I much prefer the food and character interaction at Akershus, at least at breakfast. CRT isn't bad, but it is overpriced based on the food quality. I will only ever bother to eat there again when I have the deluxe dining plan and have the extra credits. But Cinderella is always there.

I have never been there before but a lot of people recommend 1900 park fare and Cinderella is there for the lunch and dinner. I have done breakfast and dinner in the castle and while you get more interaction with a lot of princesses at the breakfast I preferred the meal for dinner better. Cinderella is at both and greets you when you go in but is not at the meal itself. I am not sure about park fare though.

We did the 1900 PF dinner last month with our 6 and 12 year old nieces and the characters were incredible but the food was just horrible.

We also did the Norway Princess Breakfast and it was awesome! Great food and amazing character interaction....it was a hit with all of us.

We took my 4 y/o daughter to the Princess Meal at 1900 Park Fare two weeks ago.

I would give the princess/character experience a 9 out of 10. When we were seated, Cinderella had just passed our table, so we met her last, and had to wait until she finished her break (couldn't be helped). Prince Charming was pleasent but aloof. Lady Tremaine and the step-sisters stole the show! Lady Tremaine was fantastic! My DD told me she loves Anastasia, b/c she took her up to the center of the room to dance with her. Once Cinderella returned she spent plenty of time with my DD, and took lots of pictures.

The food however, was just ok. I was disappointed in the selection for the kids - pizza and pasta with red sauce. That's it. The adult food was passable, but not anything I'd get excited about.

I don't mean to hijack your thread...but I thought I read somewhere about Mary Poppins being at one of the character meals. Does anyone know which one?

We met Mary Poppins at Akershus breakfast.

Mary Poppins is at the Supercalifragilisticexpialidicous breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. We loved that one!

The breakfast in Norway with the princesses is wonderful! I highly recommend it. I think Cinderella is a rare sighting at this meal - but you will meet 5 other princesses (maybe Mary Poppins). The princesses will be at all three meals here if you want to choose something other than breakfast. You get a picture with the "hostess" Princess which is included in the price of your meal. The atmosphere is very castle-like - it's a good alternative to the castle itself.

For meeting Cinderella, I think 1900 Park Fare for dinner is a great option. I would like to try this place ourselves on our next trip. It sounds like a lot of fun with the step sisters.

...about hearing how bad the food is! I'll be needing to do a princess meal too & I'd rather save the $$ by not doing CRT. We won't be doing Epcot, so I was considering 1900 PF too.

I agree with this, but Cinderella has been there the 3 times we had dinner. I found that the food for dinner left a lot to be deisred..........and my daughter did't eat more than one bite of her pizza....I tasted it as well.....not good.

I suggest you check the menus for Park Fare dinner. I think it would be a better fit for you.

Gee, I always considered 1900 Park Fare one of the better buffets. We liked it every time we've eaten there. The characters are good, and as far as buffet food is concerned, we thought it was better than average. Of course, people rave about dinner at the CP and we thought it was horrible. Characters were good, but the food was down right awful. I guess the lesson to be learned here is that you have to judge for yourself.
