Needed prayers from our DVC friends *Update* by MIL Post # 244

DMIL opened her eyes a bit more today. She also wiggled her toes. I took the kids in to see her today and took Tammy out to lunch. She seemed to respond well to the kids being there, but we cant tell if she is able to focus on anything yet. She does respond to voices, though. She seems a bit agitated as the sedation is coming out of her system a little.

I will update every 2 days from this point on, unless we see drastic changes either way. We continue to value your support and prayers.

Sounds like things are definitely headed in the right direction! :goodvibes

:goodvibes Still keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.

Things are heading in the right direction. Tammy said they took MIL off the breathing machine today. She is breathing on her own. They havent removed the tube, wanting to make sure she can breathe completely on her own first, so she wont have to have tube reinserted. She has been very alert today, and is able to remember things she was told earlier. She is moving her legs some. The pnemonia is completely gone.

We appreciate your continued prayers and support. You folks are wonderful friends indeed!

Absolutely wonderful news!!!!!!!!! We will continue to include her in our prayers.

Great news! Prayers for continued improvement! Strange, but this is the second case like this I have been following. THe other one is a young man just 31 years old. He isn't doing quite so well though after 2 weeks.

We are so use to using the term "Magic" in our WDW discussions it can be pretty easy to forget that true "MAGIC" is in God's hands. Continued prayers for your entire family.

That's wonderful news. Hopefully she will be able to go home soon.

2 steps forward, 3 steps back. Its been an emotional roller coaster today. At 10 am, Tammy said they were taking MILs tube out of her throat. At 2 pm, she was struggling breathing, so they had to sedate, and reinsert the tube. There is some swelling in her neck area, and they arent sure why. It may stem from scar tissue in that area from a wreck in 84, maybe some medication they are giving her, its just a guess right now.

We were so headed in the right direction a few days ago. I was so hoping to be giving you folks some wonderful news. But setbacks happen, and we will move forward.
