I usually spend most of my time just reading everyone else's great ideas, but I have to reply to this one. The first album I started when I began scrapbooking almost 5 years ago was a CM baby album!
Obviously you have seen the outside of the album, which is really cute and contrary to my fear (with it being white) , has not been hard to keep clean. The It's a Girl!/It's a Boy! pages themselves are all preprinted with an assortment of titles, etc. similar to those you would find in a regular baby book (pre-bound, like our parents might have had). For example:
My Parents
The Ties that Bind My Family Together (grandparents?)
Here I come. . . (pre-birth stories)
Showers
Greetings, Gifts, and Flowers
Here I Am!
Coming Home
I Am Raised in Good Faith
The World Around Me (places for prices, world leaders, etc.)
I'm Going Places
My First Haircut
Watch Me Grow
Plus, a cute family tree to fill out, decorated with pink (for mom) and blue(for dad) ribbons
The art work on each page features pink of blu gingham ribbons with different baby items: rattles, bottles, lambs, bonnets, etc.
All the art is similar to the boy and girl sticker packs you can also purchase.
The price for the album cover and these pre-printed pages is $55, just as it was even 5 years ago when I bought my daughters. The nice thing about the way CM packages it now is that for those who want a baby album, but not the baby book feel of these pages, they can purchase the printed pages with just ribbon deocration and no titles, or plain pages, and still get the cover. This is the reason this is the only album they sell that you can purchase the cover separately, without any pages pre-packaged inside. You make the choice of which album type you want to do.
I also purchased the calendar pages and loved doing them--for my one daughter I had kept lots of careful records. I am beginning my second album now, and do not have as much to record on the calendar pages. It will be great when my third comes along in January to have them to fill in as we go!
Hope this helps some. If you don't have another baby book, I would definitely go with this one! Or, if you have one that you can't put pictures in very easily.
