As someone who lost their mother at a young age. I would encourage you to tell them the little things about their mother. As time moves on all our small moments fade some.

My brother was killed on Halloween night, 2001 in a traffic accident, age 41. Left behind wife and 3 young children. We try to stay as close as possible to his family. We often vacation at WDW with them.
Be there for them--they will need you more than they will let you know.

I have just read about your sad story, a big lump came to my throat. It's so sad when young children lose a parent. It sounds like you have a great loving family to help and support each other.
