My fiance and I are honeymooning in the World for 11 days on the Gold Plan (so all the meals are included). Here are a list of the places we are planning on eating at. Please let me know if we are missing a "must do" restaurant or are wasting our time eating at any of them. I know it's a lot of food, but my fiance loves to eat (and he's skinny, makes me sick!). Thanks in advance for your help!

Breakfasts:
Grand Floridian Cafe
Kona Cafe
Spoodles
Chef Mickey's
1900 Park Fare
CRT
Crystal Palace
Concourse Steak House
Boma

Lunches:
Brown Derby (Fantasmic Package)
Beaches & Cream
Le Cellier
Grand Floridian Cafe
Wolf Gang Pucks
Sci Fi
Restaurant Akershus
Rose & Crown
Tangerine Cafe
Sushi Bar at Japan (Epcot)

Dinners:
California Grill
Citricos
Narcossees
Artist Point
Portabello Yacht Club
Wolf Gang Pucks
Flying Fish Cafe
Yachtmen's Steakhouse
Spoodles
Teppanyaki

Thanks again!!!

Hi. Your choices look wonderful:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Have you called for your priority seatings yet? Don't forget to do that or you'll end up waiting, and waiting. How about Victoria & Alberts? I'm pretty sure it is included in the gold plan. I would definately do that one for dinner. Also Whispering Canyon is good in the WL. Where are you staying? My cousin did WDW for her honeymoon and came home pregnant:earseek: There is something in the water....

Have a wonderful trip:earseek:  :Pinkbounc

Thanks for your input! We do already have all of our PS's, early breakfasts, later dinners, in order to space out the eating. We also have PS's for Cirque, golf, fishing, and 3 behind the scenes tours. We are staying at CR, have never stayed there before. We can't wait, we are counting the days, which seem like they're taking forever! Thanks again!

Oh yeah, I checked into V & A's, not on the Gold Plan, very disappointing!

You have elected some of my favorite dinner spots. Sounds like you've done all your homework. Hope you have a fine trip!!!

Great choices!

We used to do the Gold Plan on what were then our once yearly trips. We loved it. Fit in lots of golf, boats, etc. as well as great dining as you're planning. Have a great time.

Many years ago, V&A WAS included in the plan. After it was removed, we discovered a secret that CRO didn't tell us... they probably didn't know. If V&A wasn't booked on a given night, they allowed us to use our gold plan there. We just called on that day. The last time we did the Plan and the Plane as our son called it was probably five years ago or so and I don't think we tried calling that trip. So this was some time ago. But it's worth a try.:D

Your choices are wonderful. I hope to read some reviews from you.:D Sounds like a wonderful honeymoon. Congrats and have a great time! :bride: :groom:

Dear Beaker 74,

I hope you have a very nice honeymoon at Walt Disney World. You are from Chicago, aren't you? I have worked at Portobello Yacht Club for more than 10 years. Portobello Yacht Club is owned by Levy Restaurants in Chicago. A couple years ago I ran the Chicago Marathon and while I was there with my fiance and I had the chance to dine at some of our Levy Restaurants like La Spiaggia and Bistro 110.
I usually work Monday-Thursday but I could try to pick up another day if I knew you were going to visit. I think that Portobello is a great place to use your Gold Plan wishes:bounce:
You can visit my homepage at

You can call 1-800-WDW-DINE or 407-934-8888 to make a priority seating reservation. Please be sure to ask for John Combs. I hope that you will visit my restaurant during the early part of your honeymoon and that you will want to return more times before going home.
While you are here I can sign you up for our Levy Prefered Club so you you can accumulate lots of points (free dining certificates) that you can use at Chicago at any of the Levy Restaurants or at Portobello Yacht the next time you come in to pay for your bar bill since alcohol isn't included on the Gold Plan.
I hope to see you at Portobello Yacht Club!!!!!:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

The info on WDW's web site and our travel agent page says V and A is included on the Gold Plan! That's strange they are saying otherwise now. I think your choices are awesome! Can you still do the Fantasmic package for lunch?

Tell Everyone You Are On Your Honeymoon!

By doing this when you come into the restaurant you may get special seating...a free desert...sometimes a collectable pin.

Good luck with your life together.:groom: :bride:

Patricia, I can't find this listed on WDW's site althoough it is listed for the Platinum plan. Where did you find it, if I may ask.

Welcome to the DIS, John. Our esteemed Uncleromulus here on the DIS always recommends you as a server. We haven't been back to PYC for some years, but next time we're there we'll be certain to ask for you.

Uggg..you are right it is only on the Platinum Plan now -too bad!!

Thanks for all of your input!

John Combs - We will be dining at your restaurant on May 16th at 9:30 p.m. after Fantasmic. We'd love to have you as our server if you are there!

Dear Beaker74,

I'll pick up that shift and will look forward to meeting you. Don't worry if the traffic is bad after Fantasmic and you can't make it in right at 9:30 pm. Please relax! I'll stick around until closing!
By the way, I just got married on Valentine's Day weekend in Las Vegas! You can check out my wedding pictures at http://www.geocities.com/kmacochan/wedding.html

John Combs -

We looked into the time issue of getting to Portobello's after Fantasmic. We changed our PS's to 10:00 p.m. Hopefully if we get to the buses quickly, we'll make it in time.

But as some have already said, try to go to V and A's.

I would say try, try, try, even if it's not on the Gold Plan.

Trust me, this will be the dining highlight of your honeymoon.
It's the best, most romantic restaurant in all of WDW.

You asked if there was a "must-do" that you might be missing.
That would be V and A's.

It is the quintessential honeymoon WDW restaurant.

Congrats!

My only tweak would be to go to Prime Time for lunch instead of Sci-Fi. I think the food's better and the atmosphere's fun. We went there on our honeymoon and had a great time!

Also make sure you give yourself some downtime to rest. After a week, I literally could not get out of bed I was so tired. My sweet husband (an early bird) went out and bought me a strand of pearls for our one week anniversary. It was worth sleeping in for but I was wiped out! You can only go non-stop for so long! (I'm still talking about vacationing for all those with your minds in the gutter)

Have a wonderful wedding and a terrific honeymoon!

ooo my goodness what a small world....DVCTiff, we are also from New York and the Hudson Valley; what a small world....

Everyone seems very knowledgeable about dining at disney...My question is, where to eat it V and A is not an option. In the package we booked for our honeymoon we can choose any of the signature resturants except V and A. Can anyone please give me some suggestions and why you like that restuarnt so much....
