Recommendations, suggestions, ideas...

Having a celebration for a milestone birthday soon (can't say too much because I don't want the base surprised spoiled).

If you were going to order something for someone's resort room, what would it be?

Also, ConcKahuna, correct me please? You can't order something to be waiting at check in because the room assignment isn't done yet, correct?

This is a pretty big surprise so I'm just looking for icing on the cake. :teeth: Oh, and no, it can't be a cake. :guilty:

Well, it depends on the resort. If you get ahold of someone in advance, often a room can be pre-assigned and stuff set up before you get there. It depends on who is working though :rotfl:

I have to say one of the most amazing flower arraingements I've ever seen is the "Speechless" arraingement from the Disney Florist.

It's pricey, but it's 2 dozen 4 foot tall roses.

You can also have some rose petals delivered to be sprinkled in the room before you arrive, for an extra romantic touch :thumbsup2

I love the rose petals idea -- VERY romantic! Disney florist also puts together other kinds of gifts too -- don't they? (If you're looking for something more thoughtful -- rather than strictly romantic)

Yup, they do gift baskets, including some nice spa-type gift baskets if she likes that kinda stuff :thumbsup2

Oooh, I like the rose petal idea!

Other gift baskets...hmmmm haven't given that a thought. Will check it out.

Maybe I'd better light a candle and pray that someone nice is working when we go to check in! :teeth:

(Those four foot roses are something, but WAAAAAAY out of my price range)! :guilty:

Phooey! Meant to ask... can you have champagne delivered to the room? I'm thinking something along the lines of champagne and strawberries? That might be nice. :)

Room service can set up a champagne and tuxedo strawberry turn-down for you, or have it waiting in the room :thumbsup2

Do you have a ballpark figure on how much that could run?

ConcKahuna, you are the best, by the way. {{{hugs}}}

Conk is the best. He (w/ some help from the AMAZING Poly staff), was able to secure a Minnie Mouse stuffed animal and a balloon (that somebody had to go to the MK to get b/c they are the only ones that had this particular type) and had it waiting in the room for our DD upon arrival.

The staff at Poly really make magic happen and if you aren't staying there you should SWITCH your resort!

I know it's CA, not FL, but the Ironhorse Fairy Tale Cuvee runs $42 and tuxedo strawberries are $15/6 at the Grand Californian Hotel in DLR. There are less expensive and more expensive champagnes available. Out here we order through Disney Vacation Planning.

Shhhhhh! Stop talking about resorts! It's a secret!

Thanks for the dollar figures. Those numbers I can handle. :goodvibes I'll check and see if we can get a different champagne.

Yes, they have several available, priced from about $45 - $195 (plus tax & tip, of course)pixiedust: I was very happy they had the Fairy Tale Cuvee; it's usually a DCL special label. You can't even buy it at the vineyard (we've tried).

Almost positive they have the Fairy Tail Cuvee at the WDW resorts too. I know the Disney Florist can get it.

I believe that we picked up a couple of bottles from the shop at WL last December. We were quite surprised to find it out here on the west coast.
