Hi,

We figured since we can't decide between a WDW vacation and a cruise we would do both during the same vacation.

When is the best time of the year to do a 3 night stay wdw/4 night sea stay.

Also typically when is the total amount due by. Is it 45 days like a WDW package?

We're booked to leave next Sunday. Last time we were in WDW was November of 1999. Weather was great. We had to pay our trip in full by September 1st

We're doing a Category 4 on the 3-night Wonder, together with 4 nights at AKL. I can't wait to get my BF and DS on their very first cruise!!!!

I'm sure others will give more info about weather conditions at various times of the year.

We just returned from a Land/Sea and we would definitely never do the land portion again. We had read that in our DCL Passporter that most people feel the same way. We had to learn for ourselves. We loved our Hotel(GF) but the park crowds were overwhelming. The FastPass helped but most rides exceeded a 45 minute wait(in October!). We witnessed no less than 3 very frustrated parents smacking kids due to crowd and heat exasperation. We walked 6,8,9 miles at the parks with DD3 and DD4-no fun! On the other hand the sea portion was simply outstanding, extremely enjoyable and relaxing. The Passporter survey echoes these sentiments. Just to add,I have been to the parks in mid March a few years back on 2 occassions and the crowds were lighter. The exact dates included March 11th.

I did the land/sea in late Oct 2003 and it was beautiful - very sunny and warm, no rain at all, and calm seas. The parks weren't very crowded at all - we rode many rides with no wait, the only exception being the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at MGM for which we used a fast pass.

I believe you have to pay in full the same time as any of the cruises (can't remember exactly - something like 60 days).

Depends on what you mean by "best".
My friend is starting his Land/Sea this Thursday. Its just him and his wife, no children yet.
This is Off Peak. You get the best prices, the parks are less crowded, a greatly reduced chance of bad weather, but it still is nice in Nassau and CC, plus you have a chance at a cabin upgrade.
BTW, if Off Peak is your definition of "best", you may find savings in booking the Land and Sea separately.
March and early April would be a similar time to get off peak (as long as its not around Easter).
January would be off peak as well, with the parks alot less crowded but you have a greater chance of highs in the 60's at Nassau and CC.
If you have kids and are beholden to a school schedule, there is no "best". Just book as early as possible, and use these boards and the Passporter book to research useful tips.

Thanks for the feedback.

We are still trying to figure out when we want to go, but this information does help.
