We have a trip booked for 9/18, just around the corner. Due to unfortunate circumstances we will most likely not be able to go. It was just for a long weekend, 9/18-9/21. We did not opt to get the insurance which I am now kicking myself for. I called last week and was told if we couldn't go, we would lose $200 but be refunded the rest. (Our flights are separate, we didn't roll that into the universal package).
Do you think what I was told a week ago will be the same this week or does it change the closer we get, now being a week closer to leaving. I'm a bit anxious now and need to cancel ASAP but the offices are closed right now.
Has anyone done this? This close? Did you get your refund without the insurance and how long did it take for the funds to return?
Any helpful input is very appreciated.
