I'm sure someone has mentioned this, but I've been reading for hours and my eyes are starting to cross. Need some definite help from you vets!

We are going to be at WL for the 1st time  Sept.2-7 in a standard room. We have two rooms booked, 2 adults in one room, 2 adults,2 yo and 3yo in another. I have a few questions and would appreciate any help!

1) Our travel agent (Small World Vacations) requested that we have adjoining rooms. Any opinion on whether or not this will happend?

2) If we add another request like North view, are we taking a risk of not getting any of our requests or that they will change our view, but not in adjoining room?

3) I've read lots about upgrading rooms; has anyone had any experience with getting upgraded when you have two rooms? I'm thinking it's a longer shot for us b/c they would be bumping us both up. Also, any opinion on what check-in time room upgrades are more likely to occur?

4) Final question! I read a few months ago that we should fax our room request info. to WL a couple of days before we arrive. Is that still the case and, if so, how can I find their number?

Thanks so much! Sorry to ask so many questions!

First of all, I think you want connecting rooms (with a door between them) instead of adjoining (next door to each other) rooms, so be sure your TA has requested correctly.

If that is your most important request, make sure it's the first one. Also, try to limit your other requests. Asking for a specific view or area in the hotel may prevent you from getting the connecting room.

I believe WL was the first hotel to stop accepting faxed room requests, because it was getting to be overwhelming. You are really better off having the requests noted on your reservation, so they appear as soon as your reservation is downloaded to the hotel.

I don't think your chances of being upgraded are any better or worse than anyone else's. In fact, depending on how many connecting rooms they have, you may have a greater chance of moving from a standard to a woods view. It will just depend on the occupancy when you check in.

1. You should get that I always have
2 I would call CRO and tell them you would like ajoining rooms in the northwing
3. I would not count on the upgrade but you can alway hope
4. IMO I would not fax Because a fax may get lost just call CRO and tell them your room request and it will be on your main paperwork

:cool2: Yes, I did mean connecting... and I checked and the TA did it right...luckily she knew what I needed

I was afraid that adding a view request would keep us from having connecting rooms. The girls will be taking a nap every day and DH and I would like the opportunity to at least talk without bothering them. If we have a connecting room, we can go next door, KWIM.

Of course, the North view would be nice b/c we will be heading back to the hotel before the fireworks start almost every night and it would be nice to be able to see them :confused3

Thanks for your help!
