Tried to get IllumiNations for the first night of our trip, but no luck.
Booked Wishes because it was open.

I've been on the IllumiNations one, so I know how that is.

For those that have done a Wishes Cruise . . .

How is the Wishes cruise?

Can you hear the music from the boat?

How is the view?

Your opinion, was it worth it?

Any information about the Wishes cruise would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi, Jen...I'm sitting here at my sister's in York; where in S. Maine are you? I haven't done the wishes cruise, either, but I've read that it's pretty good. YOu get to see the Electrical Water Pageant as well as Wishes. When is your trip?

About 20-30 minutes south of Portland.

I've read it was good, too, but no details yet.

The "Josh & Aunt Jen's Florida Adventure" begins on July 23rd.

It'll be just me and my nephew, 13.

I can let you know when we get back from our trip. We have a Wishes cruise for May 11.

I enjoyed it! Have also experienced the Illuminations Cruise, which I would rank as better, but not a lot better. If they figure out a way to pipe in the WISHES music/narration to the boats, I think WISHES would be just as wonderful as Illuminations.

Seeing WISHES from the lagoon is different from seeing it inside the MK park. In some ways, the view from the boat is better. Try to see it both ways if you can.

Can you hear the music from the boat?

Not when we took the cruise last December. I have read that Disney is exploring ways to get the music in the boats - you can't just run a CD or tape of the musci as it would be hard to get it synchronized, IMHO.

How is the view?

Awesome!

I thought it was definitely worth it. Considering doing it again when we visit later this year. We'll be traveling with my nephews and the younger one (4) really likes fireworks. I know he wil like it.

We enjoyed a "bonus" on our WISHES cruise. A private group had arranged for a special run of the Electrical Water Pageant the evening of our cruise. (The regular run still took place later that eveing). Talk about a special treat - loved seeing the EWP from the pontoon and we definitely could hear the music for that!!!

Best wishes -

I hope they have the music issue fixed by December. I'm planning to book this cruise during our Christmas trip.:rockband:
