Hi. Our dryer just went and our washer is not that far behind. So Dh suggested Get both now, he said to buy and put on a card to pay later.(Income tax time) Where is the best buy. DH said Home Depot.:confused3

I would have to say any Sears Outlet Appliance store. They mark down the floor models until they are sold. That's where we got our stove and dishwasher. We only have Kenmore appliances.

We have always had great service from Leon's. Just picked up a stove, fridge, dishwasher, kitchen table & chairs, mattress and bedroom set.

Don't pay until April 2009

I always found Leon's expensive. Alhgouh that is where I bought my last dryer.

We recently bought Frdige and Stove from Sears, but I had a quote from TASCO which was lower and Sears price matched it. Pretty sure they had free delivery too.

We bought our fridge from The Brick. They had good prices on all appliances, but the selling point for me was the same day delivery. Sears had a good sale going but the problem was they couldn't promise delivery for more than 2 weeks. Really, it depends on whether the store actually stocks the item or has to truck it in from a depot a couple provinces away :)

We buy a lot of Kenmores (we own apartment buildings and chalets) and we love that NO MATTER WHAT, Sears will service Kenmore's FOREVER.

We have had a lot of good appliances with Sears.

We recently purchased a washer and dryer, so this is what I found:

Sears Outlet Store has good prices, they even have some washing machines that are brand new still in crates marked down! The problem is, you have to haul them home yourself. We made some inquiries about help with loading the machines into our car, and they actually refused to help us unless we have a pickup truck.

I would be staying away from actual floor models after seeing what salespeople do to the machines to "demonstrate how well they work, even with a load that is not balanced".

We went to a lot of the big box stores, including Home Depot, Leon's, The Brick, Future Shop, and Costco. I also phone a number of local stores to inquire about prices once we have decided what we wanted. The funny thing is that The Bay actually gave us the best price of all the stores I talked to! We even got free delivery on the washer and dryer. I am not sure if you can pay later at The Bay though. :confused3

And if you buy the energy efficient washers in Ontario, I believe you don't have to pay the PST on them (I think this promo maybe good until the end of the year?)

Good luck!

Washer/Dryer

I think I saw a Hudson's Bay flyer advertising the 'don't pay thing' for two years. I know Home Depot has a 'don't pay thing' for six months, but I think the Bay would be better.

Good Luck :)

This past summer we purchased 7 new appliances...all I can say is
"DO NOT buy from Goemans"!!!!!!!!!!!!

There. my 2 cents!
