Need veteran advice with iteniary/MVMCP

Below is my iteniary. I need to find a way to fit MVMCP in on the third day, in a way that won't exhaust my DD8. I think if I take her through MK all day and then expect her to stay up until midnight for MVMCP it will be too much. Would you move AK or MGM to the third day and try to get new ressies? Please let me know how you would do it. Thanks!


First day- get in at 4:30pm, MK open till 10pm, go to MK to see Spectromagic and Disney wishes, ressies at Crystal palace at 8:30pm

Second day-Epcot with Princess lunch at Norway

Third day- MK all day with ressies at 1900 Park Fare at 7:20

Fourth day-MGM all day dinner ressies at 5pm at 50's Prime Time

Fifth day-MK all day with ressies at Liberty Tree

Sixth day-Animal Kingdom (9am-5pm) breakfast ressies at Dinosaurus

Since you already have another full MK day, I would do MVMCP on your third day. Just don't plan to be at MK all day. Perhaps make it a morning to sleep late and hang around the resort for awhile. You can make your way over to MK later in the day and perhaps your DD will be rested enough to stay up late for the party.

Just so you know, if you have a ticket to the party, you can get into MK at 4:00 p.m. If you go in earlier, you'll have to use a day from your park pass and then use your ticket to stay for the party.

Your post didn't say if your Park Fare reservation is 7:20 a.m. for breakfast or 7:20 p.m for dinner. If it's for dinner, definitely change it if you go to the party. You won't want to leave MK once the party starts. If it's for breakfast and you decide to sleep late that day, maybe try for a later breakfast time. Hope you have fun! We'll be at MVMCP on the 21st and can't wait!

From my personal experience (all I have to go by here) after four years of MVMCP, I would take it easy on the day you want to go to MVMCP. I know each family and each child is different!

You can enter Magic Kingdom at 4pm with your party ticket, so I would see if you could find a different ADR for something for a late lunch, and then enter the park at 4pm. That gives you three hours before the party starts for rides, etc, without having to use a day of admission.

We have gone each of the past four years after DD being in school all day, and by 9pm - she is ready to go home. I continue to do it as it is an annual thing during my sister's visit. However, when we did the MNSSHP on a day off from school, where we just hung around Poly all day where we stayed for the night, I was able to get her to stay until 11:00.

DD is not by nature a "night owl" and most nights at home even when there is no school is in bed on her own by 9:30 or so - so maybe it's just my child. We also don't have the "pressure" to fit in everything on vacation.

Even with really only getting 2 hours in of the party on Friday, I didn't fee too disappointed since we will be going again on 12/18 which is the first day of Winter Break. We got the parade out of the way, and her picture taken with Beast and Belle which was my priority. I see on the schedule that they do the show in the Galaxy Theater during normal park hours as well, so the pressure is off to see that during the party too! (We've seen it before but I LOVE it!)

My problem is that I had originally planned to do MVMCP on the 6th day, after seeing AK and taking a break mid-day. Now I have found on ebay for a very good price, but they are on the 3rd day. I have debated moving AK to the 3rd day but then we would have two MK days in a row, and that is hard on kids too. If I knew how to make a poll it would say, would you:

a) do MVMCP on the 3rd day after a full day of MK
b) do MVMCP on third day but change 3rd day to AK
c) do MVMCP on last day, after AK, and pay more

You don't need 3 full days and a Christmas party to enjoy the MK. Spend a good part of the third day not at the park and then enjoy the Party.

Agreed. I say do the party on the 3rd day and change your 1900 PF ressies to a late breakfast. Use the time to rest and/or visit resorts to see the decorations. Then plan on getting to MK between 4 and 5 PM. You will save a day on your admission tickets and can get some stuff out of the way before the party actually begins.

That would be nice to save a day of my tickets but I am only there for 6 days and have tickets for 6 days. I didn't get the non-expiration tickets so I have to use them anyway. I will only be in MK two days really, the first day is just a couple hours and dinner. Thanks for the advice.

We've done the Halloween party and this year we're doing the P&P party and my advice would be to go to MK in the morning eat lunch and then go to the resort and take a rest or a break of some kind and go back to MK that evening. That's what we have done and it worked out nicely. Especially if you're wanting to change into different clothes.
