Need urgent help concerning AAA discount!!!

Can anyone please tell me, if I call WDW to book a room only res with a AAA discount, can I later turn it into a package (no other disc or promotion) without losing my AAA discount?

Anyone, you or your TA, can book a room only AAA res. But a package with the AAA room discount can only be booked by a AAA TA.

Sometimes other discounts become available that anyone can use, but you can't stack discounts. For example a free dining package can't be combined with a AAA room discount. So if you had AAA book the package for you with the AAA room discount and another promotion came out, your package could be converted but would be the same as booking it yourself with the new promotion.

I also booked a room only with my AAA discount for next spring. If a better offer comes out I would have to call and convert to the new offer if available when I actually place the call. It is one or the other as far as discounts go.

no if you switch from a room only aaa to a package aaa you totally rebook. I have found that the room only aaa is a decent deal but the aaa package is usually not a very good rate. The aaa room only you can book through anyone including WDW directly but the aaa pkg only through aaa and the service with them I have found to be spotty and if a better discount offer comes along they can be balky about helping you get the better deal. I usually book a room only aaa and then dump it for a package deal if I get a pin or there is a good offer like free dining or 40%.
