My little man's name is Hudson Clark. Love both of those as first names. My big girl is Emerson. I've come across more boys with the name Emerson. My other sweet girl is Landry.
David isn't uncommon here. My DS has more friends named David than anything else (and none go by nicknames). I'm constantly asking "which David?" when he tells stories. There are 4 different Davids that he speaks about pretty frequently (all in his class of roughly 100 kids.)
I'm also shocked by that. Most of the Davids I know are between 30 and 60, but I know some young ones as well. I'm 50 and at one point we had the Davids in our group of friends numbered by the date they entered our group - Dave1, Dave2,Dave3,and Dave4. David was also the name my parents had chosen for me if I was a boy. It was obviously a very popular name in the early 60s!
Our son is Garren. Hard G. Rymes with Darren.
It is a "real" name, but I've never met another.
He does get mistaken for Garrett or mispronounced as Jaren on occasion, but not too often.
